¦ Reading The Patterns (on screen version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NIBj64NUXw ____________________________________________ MATERIAL: Six Stranded Embroidery Floss (DMC BRAND) ¦ Before leaving a question please check to see if it has already been answered in the comments section or in the links supplied below. ¤ I know it is always easier to just simply ask a question but with so many people following me it is getting harder and harder for me to answer. If for some reason your question has not been answered below (or) you can't find it on your own check out these links: FAQ: http://beyondbracelets.blogspot.com/2011/08/youtube-faqs.html Annotation Link Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuwdlbWhgeo ____________________________________________ Q: I'm confused. How can I tell the forward from the backward? What about the crooked arrows? Do you do both directions for the same knot? A: Yes, mixed knots can have two different knots. To follow the grids remember this: ¦Down to the right = Forward ¦Down to the left = Backward The "crooked" ones are the same idea. Down to the right is forward... Down to the left is backward. ¦ Starts going down to the right and then switches left = forward backward. ¦ Starts going? down to the left and then switches right = backward forward. _______________________________________________________ ¦ ¦ ¦ The Friendship-Bracelet.Net Pattern Generator ¦ ¦ ¦ http://friendship-bracelets.net/generate.php Use the "Normal Pattern" generator for basic patterns and the "Alphabet Pattern" generator for alpha patterns. HINT: On friendship-bracelets.net's pattern generator you need to make 'repeating' patterns if you want to save it to the site. This means it has to be a seamless/endless/repeating pattern. Basically, you need the string colors at the very top to match the string colors at the very bottom. Match as in, if you have it set up as blue/purple/green as the order at the start of the pattern it can't be purple/blue/green at the bottom. The placement of the colors NEED to match on the top and bottom of the pattern! It won't work save otherwise! ? PRO-TIP: If you like a pattern that you just made and it is not saving to the site because it isn't a repeating pattern then just hit "Print Screen" and open up windows paint or some other photo editing software- click "paste" in the picture editing program and you SHOULD have a screen shot of your entire computer screen. Now just crop the pattern only and hit save- now you'll have saved the pattern to your computer. I do this all the time when I don't want to submit my work but still save it- repeating pattern or not! _____________________________________________ Comment, Rate & Subscribe. ^_^ _____________________________________________
