How To Turn These Beads into Bracelets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0fYqSojxVI _____________________________________________________ ¤ INSTRUCTIONS: You will be using regular 8 1/2 x 11 inch white computer paper, glue and a red marker. Also needed will be a pencil, ruler, knife or scissors and a paper bead roller or toothpick. ? Paper Bead Tools: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=paper+bead+roller Optional but highly recommended: Straight edge for drawing your stripes and "dimensional" and/or "hardening" Glaze (I am using judikins diamond glaze) _____________________________________________________ ¤ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ¤ Q: Can I just coat it in glue? A:No, glue will rehydrate the minute it gets wet causing the bracelet to become sticky and ultimately fall apart. Q: Can I use nail polish? A: Yes but it may yellow and crack off easily. _____________________________________________________ DIRECTIONS: Measure (vertically) a piece of paper cut in to 1 inch sections. (You may do any size you like but remember to use the exact size on the opposite side so you make even strips.) Cut out the strips and decorate the last inch with stripes from the bottom left corner upward at an angle- the bottom right corner need not be striped since it will not be used. Thin stripes and thick stripes together make a cute outcome. You may do any color(s) you like. After you draw the stripes make sure to cut off the blank (bottom right) corner. Cutting along the first red stripe at an angle will give a seamless look to the cane. Once cut roll them on a toothpick or a bead roller. Use a bit of glue at the tail to hold it together and then pull it gently off of the pick/roller. Stand the bead up on your table and press the edges inward/down and flip to repeat in order to make sure they are even on both sides. Glaze your bead. I recommend three coats for a nice finish.
