You should make the border (1) strands a bit longer upwards of 75 inches since they will be used the most. If you find the strands becoming short you may add in as you would a multicolor alpha. Step two is a little more tricky but not all that difficult- Your goal will be to create an altered chevron by using mixed knots the entire way through. 1 FK/BK over 2, 2 FK/BK over 3, 3 FK/BK over 4, etc. until you reach the last colored strand. Do not knot over the white strands. Your white strands will be stuck in the back behind the colored row. This is normal. For the next plain chevron pull one strand to the left and the other to the right to complete the chevron. Note that the strands should be treated gently so that the bracelet doesn't warp from tension. HINT: The back of the bracelet will have stray strands that may be glued and then clipped if you see fit. You can also leave it as is- it will not affect the bracelet as it is the back and will not be seen.
