Steps

Get your fabric dye. Just mix with a bit of hot water, and let dry.

Take your paintbrush in hand, preferably one with soft, thick bristles.

Dip in the dye. You could drip off any excess.

Paint carefully on the paper.

Let dry. Depending on the type of fabric dye you use, it can take around an hour and a half to dry.
Tips
- Don't leave the brush in one place in a long time. The color could get too bright and dark; or if it's drippy and watery, could soak the paper.
- Try using light, pastel shades. Unlike fabric, paper absorbs quickly, so vivid, bold colors would look a bit too painful on the eyes.
