How to Paint a Fresco

Want to spice up your bedroom wall? Want something unique? Try painting a fresco!!!!

Steps

Bear in mind that you don't always have to be a great artist to paint one.
Ask permission. DO NOT paint a fresco without your parents (or landlord) knowing.
Decide what you want. You might want a forest, or under the sea, whatever you want, plan it out on paper first.
Purchase your paint and paintbrushes.
Lay material or newspaper on the floor below your chosen wall. This will help protect your floor from any paint accidents.
Paint your fresco. There are four ways to do this.
1. If you are a good artist, try painting it free hand. Draw your image with pencil first and hand paint it in.
2. If you are not so confident, use a grid. Draw a grid with equally sized squares and use the squares as a guide. For example, if you are painting a palm tree your trunk of the tree may take up 5 squares and then your leaves may take up 3 and a half squares each. It's a bit like when you get puzzle books and there's a picture and on the next page a grid for you to copy the first picture.
3. If you are not confident with either of these, do it the easy way. Get some tracing paper and draw or trace a picture. put the tracing paper onto a projector and enlarge it using the projector. Then project this onto your wall. Then all you have to do is trace the lines and colour them in.
4. Instead of a picture, use a paintbrush and flick paint at the wall, or use marker pens to do colourful words or simply doodle on your wall when you get bored.
