Steps

Get the color of paint that you want in acrylic paints. Whatever you have, or prefer to work with, is fine.
- If you have a certain color that isn't available, mix up the colors to get what you want.

Mix in the fabric medium. The mixture needs to be at least 1/3 to 1/2 fabric medium.
- Not enough will allow the paint to fade quickly and more and the paint gets too runny.

Do 2 to 3 coats of most of your colors. Adjust, depending on the look that you want.
Tips
- Be sure to heat set the colors using the instructions on the fabric medium bottle.
