Learn how to make your very own lampshade with a feather boa - your friends will be so jealous!
Steps
-
Obtain the supplies:
- Lamp
- Thin feather boa
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
-
Spread newspaper on the surface area of your work station to avoid glue from dripping and ruining surfaces.
-
Wrap the feather boa around the bottom of the lampshade snugly and cut the overlapping part.
-
Glue the feather around the bottom edge of the lamp.
-
Press the feather boa on the glue firmly.
-
Repeat steps for the top of the lamp.
-
Allow the lampshade to dry.
-
Throw away the newspaper once the glue dries. Sit the lamp on your desk. Voilà! The perfect lampshade!
Tips
- Instead of using a feather boa, use some rope or stick little basket balls on your lampshade!
- Decorate your lamp with rhinestones, mirror pieces and other materials for a more exciting look.
- Change the color of the feather boa on the bottom and on the top to make an extra colorful lampshade.
- Buy multiple lampshades. When you get tired of one lampshade, you can simply switch it around to your liking.
Warnings
- Be careful not to burn yourself on the glue gun.
