Courage Dreamcatcher QuoteCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Thank you Paula, for this beautiful dream catcher, I have chosen this design to make and send it to my daughter who lives some distance away.

I printed the sheet provided twice as I wanted to use the second copy as a decoupage.

I used the first copy as the main backing sheet and used 2 lengths of narrow aqua ribbon to attach horizontally across the dream catcher 2cm apart.

I then made a peach coloured textured backing sheet, cut at 15.5 x 13cm and defined the edges with a matching aqua permanent pen.

I attached the main image with padded D.S. tape and wrapped the 2 ribbons around to attach them at the back of this backing sheet.

The main card front is a paler shade of peach, and when this card is folded, measures 16 x 13.75m.

I have used D.S. tape to attach the main image and then used the second copy to cut out the dream catcher.

I did this very carefully and feathered some of the edges to keep within the theme of the dream catcher.

I used a pearl and silver split pin to colour the pearl part with an aqua permanent pen and attached it onto the centre of the dream catcher.

I cut out the 2 sentiment pieces and attached these as part of the decoupage. I attached the dream catcher and the sentiments using padded D.S. squares and small strips. I made a double bow with the same ribbon and attached it using power tape.

The insert is cup814313_79993, Christmas Lace Effect, a design by Clare walker, which I have enlarged slightly and recoloured. I have added a sentiment a gem, a bow and a butterfly and defined the edges of the insert with the same aqua pen.

I am delighted with this completed card and as there are other colours, and sentiments you have offered for purchase, I would like to make some of those to keep in my supply to make and pop in the post to some lovely friends.
