Hexagonal Advent Lantern - NativityCompleted by Margaret McCartney
OccasionI printed the design onto good quality 280gsm photographic paper and cut it out. I scored and folded all tabs as instructed. I cut around three sides of each of the little doors.
I then placed the inserts behind the doors, making sure they lined up OK and then attached them to the panel using double sided tape.
I attached each panel to the base using strong double sided tape. I then attached each panel to the next one using strong double sided tape. Before finishing the top I put some silver ribbon on each panel and secured with strong double sided tape on the inside.
I then attached the top panels and tied off the ribbon to make a holder for hanging the card on a tree or with cards on the wall.
I assembled the decoupage using thin foam tape. Took a little time to make but I really enjoyed the challenge as I have not made one like this before.
