Christmas Bookmarks 1Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionI have used this book mark sheet today to make Christmas bookmarks for my craft card making friends at our Christmas get together.
I have printed the sheet twice onto 110gsm white card, for each of the sets I have made as I needed 8.
I have attached the sheet provided onto one side of 250gsm card using white glue and a brush. I have used brown card from received posting packages. I allowed this to dry before cutting out each of the bookmarks. I then used the second set for this sheet, to cut out each one and then to attach each one to the back of the matching book mark.
I have used craft white glue and a brush to apply the glue. It wouldn’t matter if the back was a different view, but I chose to use matching backs. I allowed these drying time before using the white glue to seal each side, again allowing drying time in between each application.
I have used my piercing tool to make a hole at the central top, approximately 3cm down.
I have made beaded stars using seed beads for each one and tied the ornament using 26cm of red ribbon using a surgeons’ knot and then stitching through the ribbon close to the punched hole and through the ribbon a couple of times to hold the knot at the front and in place.
A strong paper bead of larger regular bead or even a button will work just as well if you don’t have any ornament on hand.
Thank you I love these bright Christmassy book marks and will be a reminder of my heart felt wishes for a long time for my crafty friends.
