Charlie is my darling by Dianne Jackson

I was so delighted when my Sons cat had kittens. I got to choose from a litter of 4 and picked this gorgeous little chap called Charlie. He is so loving towards us but as soon as we get any visitors he hides behind the settee and just will not be enticed out. It is a good job we are having him as an indoor cat as he would be scurrying in at the slightest sound of a leaf rustle. He is now 5 months old and we love him so much. I have just recently had a complete hip replacement and because I cannot sit at 90 degree Charlie is slipping off my lap all the time. Much to my dismay he now settles on my Husbands lap on an evening. I am missing that so much but I know he will be back once I can sit on a normal chair again and put my feet up.

Homework! by Kelly Barker

As its half term my eldest daughter who is 8 gets a little break from homework, but instead my 5 year old has got some. Its been a nice change helping with some homework that I actually understand without needing a google refresher course first. I was very impressed with the amount of writing Imogen did, listing fun facts about ladybirds, but my favourite bit of the homework was helping Imogen make a ladybird mask. I think it suits her! Beautiful Blanket by Anne Lever

My very talented daughter has just finished making me a beautiful crochet blanket. It is made from granny squares, and is the culmination of months of work. I chose the yarns that she used and she put a lot of work into it. I cannot crochet for toffee, or knit, so I am in awe of people who can! It is absolutely beautiful and I am one very proud mum :-D These two designs are part of a series I am in the middle of creating, teacups or teapots, perfect for mothers day!

2 year old Austin loves playing hide and seek ... but he really got us scratcing our heads this week when it was his turn to hide. We could hear a rather echoey sort of sound going Hee Hee ... but no matter how much or where we searched ... we just couldnt find him! Can anyone help us? Crafting Day! by Sue Way

Last weekend I was prepared for our visit from Jessica & Imogene & got out lots & lots of crafting goodies for them to play with. They were very excited when they saw the room all set up. Imogen sat & sorted through the embellishment box, ooohing & aaahing at the treasures in there. Then she made 2 Valentine cards, one for her mummy & daddy & one for hubby & me. Jess made a handbag out of wallpaper samples, and then made 2 crowns, a feather one for herself & one made of foam flowers for Immy. They had a lovely time & I got a lovely surprise after they went home, when I found a little Easter display left by Imogen. Tickets! by Tina Fitch

Well we have a new hobby! Ten pin bowling on Sunday mornings.. All of us have been going and we have really had some fun! I dont remember doing it as a child but as a grown up I love it.And so do the girls, They both got strikes this week too, But Daddy was the winner with the most points..As we walked in the bowling alley on Sunday Megan saw a machine with loads of tickets just pouring out . she said Nanny can I have those tickets? (Tickets mean Prizes) I said I dont know you will need to ask before you take, So we went to pay for our lanes, and I asked the lady behind the counter if the tickets could be taken.. She replied Oh yes go ahead take them all, So for the next 10 mins or so we were ticket hunting from all the machines.. Over 500 tickets they found.. Oh what its like to be a child again they were so happy...However the tickets only give you small prizes you need thousands for something decent so we cashed them in and saving till we have enough for something worth having!So for this weeks featured designs I have chosen Mothers Day.. I have so many that are apt for Mothers Day but these two are my new designs, in all file formats for all machine users.. Thank You for your continued support! Happy Cutting!

I had my sewing machine for a special birthday 8 years ago. Its also an embeiodery machine. Since buying it it has been in and out if the repair shop many times. Having such a beautiful machine and its never worked right in all these years. When I took it back again at the end of last year, the girl in the workshop adked me to thread it up for her. I did that and she could see the likely problem. It was because the thread was getting caught in the nick on the ridge of the spool where the end of the cotton is put in to stop it unravelling. Now I check that it cant, and the machine works perfectly.It was my friends birthday this week and I made her this bag for her sewing bits and bobs. She was very pleased. I have also made my Granddaughters some dresses, and the oldest one some bags for her diabetic pump. I bought a pattern for some dungarees that I intend to make for out 18 month old twins. Im having great fun. Rock on.
