Merry Christmas to all my friends at CUP

by Patricia Platt

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ahead. :) Sorry I had to take a bit of a break, I had some charity items to catch up on. Do you remember the needle felted dog fur items I did. Well my friend submitted it to a dogs Magazine over here so I had to do a piece for that. And we came up with a hopeful fund raiser for the rescue...... I had to needle felt 40 heart Christmas ornaments. And embroider, bead and hand sew them together. I was working straight from morning till night on them. I did manage to get those finished and then two other friends had a table top sale and invited me to join them. So I was busy with my crocheting for that with the proceeds of my sale going to Vale Wildlife Rescue. And finally I have joined another charity and will be in the future making things for Knit A Square charity. I have done some squares for blankets already and finished a hat and some handwarmers for the children. I think once the holidays are over then I can get back to doing my designing again along with the knitting. Hope your holidays are happy ones.

Birthdays and Weddings also happen in Winter so here are two designs to help with other occasions other than Christmas.

Christmas Party Sleepover! by Sue Way

Oh what a wonderful weekend we had with our granddaughters Jessica & Imogen! On Saturday we picked them up & took them to a Christmas character party, where they had fun, games & dancing with Stuart the Minion, Disney princess Belle & Tinkerbell. Then Santa turned up & all the children got a gift. After the party we went home for a chippy dinner, followed by the film Home Alone & popcorn, before bed. In the morning I let the girls use my special make up (closely watched over by me!) & painted their nails in Christmas colours. We had so much fun. This week I have added some Christmas money wallets, perfect for last minute gifts, money, gift & scratch cards. They are only 70p & you can print as many as you need. Please click on the follow button under my name on my shop front, so you never miss an update. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Northern Lights by Tina Fitch

I dont know how many of you out there that have experienced the Northern lights but my daughter on her trip to Lapland had some beautiful views.. As you can see by the photo they are so clear and so strong.. She was rather overwhelmed by the spectacular site she saw so much so she face timed me to show me.. However the signal wasnt very good from where she was up the mountain so I didnt really get a good view. She sent me loads of photos though of which this is just one of them... I have only seen them once and that was a long time ago when we visited Malta and they were not very strong there .. it was a rare occasion to see them there .. So I have now booked my trip to Lapland next year!

All files in all file formats for all machines in my store and they are all here! http://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

Christmas Reindeer by Anne Lever

My family and I recently made our annual pilgrimage to our local Nurseries, to look at their fabulous christmas displays. They put on a great show every year, and it really makes christmas for us to go and look round all the lovely things. My brother in law is Santa there, and has been for many years. They have a shaded and dark area in which they display thousands of lights, and have many huge displays of unusual baubles and christmas tree decorations. This year along with the more traditional colours, they had a peacock colours area and a pale green and white snowdrops inspired section.

Dear Santa ... by Carol Clarke

... Ive been a Good Girl! 4 year old Olivia has been practicing her writing and is doing really well. So this week I printed out one of my Letters to and from Santa Kits and she wrote her letter. Bless her she really took her time and Santa wont have any problems reading it. The only thing she asked for was a Pink Car! She then skipped along happily with me to the post box to send her letter on its way to the North Pole. Needless to say Ive helped to arrange that a reply from Santa will be arriving very soon .... oOOoo and Ive had a quiet word in Santas ear to make sure he knows all about the Pink Car too! lol

Beautiful Mary by Joanna Swinton

Tis the seasom to be merry and watch the school plays. I have been lucy enough to watch both. My Grandson Kieran was a shepherd. The group was from the nursery and made up from Children 2-4 year olds. Mary burst into tears as she reached the manger and was accumpted by another 4 children. In the afternoon I went to Bellas and was really amazed at what she had achieved. She had lacked confidience and was a quiet 6 year old. She talked and sang in front of a room full of Mums and Dads. I for one was very proud of her

Getting Away From It All

by Janyce Cotterill

At this time of year when everywhere is busy and places are crowded, its nice just to get away for a few hours of peace and quiet. So we grabbed our warmest coats and hats and headed up the coast. It was a bracing day with the wind and sea brewing up a storm but it was just what was needed along with a little cafe stop and walk along the pier. The sound of the crashing waves and the gulls crying overhead recharged my batteries ready for the final charge towards Christmas! I hope you are all ready for the festive season and not worn out to a frazzle. As most of the Christmas cards for this year should be nearly done Im leaving you with a couple of me sea designs to fit in with the theme of this mailer slot. Thank you for your interest.

All girls together by Liz Harrison

Our granddaughters Lexie aged 8 and Skyla aged 2, stayed over at the weekend. We had a visit to santas grotto, and met some raindeers . Lexie loved the raindeers , but Skyla kept saying ooo smelly, and covered her nose . We tried getting them to sit near them for a photo , but Skyla kept hiding her face. Lol. Fortunately there was a Santa and raindeer ride in the centre . These raindeers were clean , with no smell, so we managed to get a photo .
