As many of you may already know through social media, we have a new puppy!! shes a chihuhua and is only 9 weeks old nawwwhhh we have named her Honey and shes fitted right in with our family! My boys love her to bits and cant stop cuddling her and well as for my husband he told me over and over again he doesnt like dogs, but even he couldnt resist her little face and now steals her cwtches every night :) xx

A few people suggested i make a card with her so i decided to go for it so here is the 8x8 mini kit of her :) Also a christmas bumper kit for those last minute cards xx

Baking Day! by Sue Way

We had such a lovely day with the family last Sunday. After lunch I set the girls up making Christmas & chocolate chip cookies. They love baking so had such fun & the cookies were really tasty too. Later on we went out for dinner, then popped over to the amusements on the seafront to play on the game & slot machines. We all won lots of tickets, so the girls chose themselves a little toy each to take home. We are having them to stay over night this weekend, so I am sure I will have lots to tell you about our adventures next week. This week I have been busy making cutlery wraps to add your Christmas table. They are perfect for holding a knife, fork, spoon & napkin. I am also adding matching pinch bags for all those last minute gifts. Lapland! by Tina Fitch

My youngest daughter flew out to Lapland on Wednesday for 4 days.. They were upgraded on the flight to extra leg room seats too which pleased her and her friends, She flew Thomson airways and as she works for them was pleased they gave her the upgrade.They arrived quite early in the day due to a 7am flight but it was starting to get dark again, She told me they only have roughly 4 hours daylight in the winter months.. I dont think I would like that very much living in darkness for half a year!The snow was knee deep so Amber was in her element really, We dont get much snow here and if we do it soon melts away so she really has not seen snow as we used to have it years ago. She has now done the tobbogan trail which is the largest in the world. They then went on to meet the Reindeers of which you can see just one in the photo.. She has done so much and only been there since Wednesday.. They will be off on a Husky ride on Friday and off the see Santa on Saturday.. in Which I am sure I will have photos for next weeks news.. THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT by Wanda Lipski

As I write this, windows all over the Lyon region are illuminated with little candles. This is the real meaning of the Fête des Lumières a huge festival in Lyon that last for several days and sees people from all over France and beyond throng the city to admire the light displays and incredible illuminations of all the churches and public buildings. The origin of the tradition, is of course religious since the 8th December is the feast of the immaculate conception. The popular myth lays the origins of the lights as a thank you to the virgin for saving the city of Lyon from the plague (or scurvy) or the date of the inauguration of the huge statue of Mary that tops the basilica of Fourvière , looking down on the city. While the whole of France turns on their Christmas illuminations, in the area around Lyon, people maintain the tradition, often with no idea where it originated, by putting these little lights along all their window sills (that in France, are on the outside of the window and not on the inside like in the UK - we have nowhere to put our plants LOL...) which makes everywhere look really festive. I thought this quaint custom was worth sharing with you. Another French tradition is not to send Christmas cards, but rather new year cards, so Im sharing two of my new year designs with you. Hope you enjoyed this little taste of France.

A Few Days At The Beach

We just had a short break at Palm Beach, Gold Coast. It was fabulous. Both daughters and their partners came to stay with us. We rented a unit right on the beach front. So convenient to be able to walk on the beach or have a swim at a moments notice. Just as good to sit on the balcony and watch the waves roll in and sailing boats race by! We all went to the Surf Club one night for delicious fresh meals - generous in size and great value! A relaxing time for all of us.I hope you like my new fancy wreath designs.

22 month old Austin got Littlest Star of the Week at his playgroup this week for being sooo good. The Star of the Week gets to take Stripey Teddy home and look after him for the week .... soooo Stripey accompanied us to Clumber Park for our Cuddle n Giggle Day Outing and joined in all of our activities from having a picnic to feeding the ducks, playing on the park and blowing bubbles etc! lol

Pre Christmas Meal by Kelly Barker

Last week has seen the start of many pre Christmas parties for my girls. They go to a lot of clubs and so they have a lot of Christmas events, so far we have been to our towns late night shopping event, had a party at Brownies, a party at Rainbows and a meal out with friends to exchange Christmas gifts. This week is already shaping up to be even busier and I even get to go out for a meal without the kids or husband, which will make a change! But back to last weeks meal out, it was a lovely relaxed lunch and we all felt thoroughly spoilt by our friends. Imogen was a little worn out from dance classes, so we treated her to this mega dessert. It was a make your own cookie dough pizza. She was so pleased with herself making it, but only had room to eat the toppings, so we ended up bringing it home. Christmas is coming, but dont forget the BIRTHDAYS!!! The weather has been so cold recently we decided to buy Millie a Winter coat to keep her nice and warm on our walks. She wasnt too impressed at first and she walked sideways like a crab across the living room floor. Once we got the lead on she was too excited about her walk and she forgot about the coat. Head shave fundraiser for the Jess Lawson

Last year on a school trip , to France , our friends daughter ,Jess sadly passed away in a water sports incident . She was only 12 years old. Her parents are now fundraising for the Jess Lawson memorial, to help other families who lose a child in such terrible ,and sad , circumstances. We are all doing our bit to help. Ive made and sold some cards , other people have done bike rides an collections .the photos are of my Brave friend Hev who has gone all out and had her head shaved. He has raised over £2000 so far . As you can see her hair was very long before it was shaved . She is one Brave lady, particularly in the British winter . Jesss favourite flower was the sunflower, bright and cheerful just like her x

O Christmas tree.... by Anne Lever

We went for a change of colour scheme this Christmas. I love copper, and our tree this year is copper, gold and cream. I luckily found some copper baubles in a local charity shop. I bought copper and gold ribbon and my daughter made some gorgeous big bows. I aquired some branches while helping Mum cut down a large shrub, bought some copper spray paint and sprayed them. I love the way it has turned out!
