The Little Snowdogs by Janyce Cotterill

Last week I told you all about the Great North Snowdogs which are roaming around the North-East of England. I said I would let you see a few more this week - so here they are. These Snowdogs are some of the little/mini dogs that arrive in packs! This pack are roaming around The Sage, Gateshead. These smaller dogs are all designed and made by local school children. They are just so charming and colourful and all come with their own little story of how the pupils were inspired to create each of these endearing, character dogs. They were an absolute delight to see.As it has been impossible to see ALL of the Snowdogs in the region they are all soon to be gathered in, and before the large ones are auctioned off in aid of St Oswalds Childrens Hospice, the dogs and are being shown together at a local venue. If you want to know the stories behind these little Snowdogs here is a link to tell you all about them.http://www.greatnorthsnowdogs.co.uk/the-snowdogs/the-little-dogs Sticking with a younger theme, Im leaving you with a couple of my designs which could be used for children. I hope you like them. Thank you for your interest.

Happy Birthday to me! by Kelly Barker

Today was my birthday and I had a fab day! It was quite low key, but I got to see all my most favourite people, which is the most important thing and I got some lovely, thoughtful presents too. My day started with watching my five year old in her school assembly, she was a narrator and I was so proud of her amazing reading and singing. I then took my dog to the vets and he was finally given the all clear for a very persistent ear infection. Then I went off to my mum (cup designer Sue Way) and dads for lunch, where I was thoroughly spoilt, with pressies, cake, Birthday banners and Birthday money and my dad even got home early from work with a bunch of flowers for me. In the evening I finally got to open my cards and presents from my husband, he got me a lovely bracelet and tickets to see Dirty Dancing on stage, I cant wait. Here is a very old picture of me on my birthday a long time ago ha ha! Please take a look at my fantastic Birthday special offers, 12 great designs with 25% off!

Magic Kingdom by Tina Fitch

Oh what a beautiful view this is! We couldnt wait to enter the magic Kingdom in Florida, we waited for the opening of the park which was a show in itself.. Mickey and all the cast opened the park with a show that was just magic, The fireworks went off to let everyone know it was open. Then the lines began, we lined up for ages waiting to have bags searched to gain entry, The week before there had been a person trying to enter with a gun in their bag... so the security was very high, people moaned and groaned regards the wait but personally I didnt mind waiting, Id rather be safe than sorry. We had a lovely time and this view from main street was fantastic! Roll on next year...All files in all formats in my store... http://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/Thank you for looking!

Presentation of my coin by Vicki Avcin

Well those who follow my news stories will know that I won the design for the QFES challenge coin. My design was chosen for the front of the coin, with another firefighter designing the back of the coin. This coin was to depict who we are and what we do. So the front of the coin has the QFES logo and the services it encompasses on the front with images of what we do fire/flood/storms on the back. We knew when we won that we would be presented with a coin in a presentation box, so weve been patiently waiting to get it….nearly 5 months. Yesterday there was a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner here with Brigade members from round our area and at the beginning I was presented with the coin. Well 2 actually in the frame…..front and back. So Im really happy that I can now put it up for all to see. What I think was more challenging was trying to photograph it than designing it because of the glass reflecting everything in the room around it, and my hands and the camera!

My featured designs today are Occasion Congratulations designs. Also check out the cute New Baby Owls

Its Officially Christmas! by Anne Lever

Last night I took my family to the Clarks Village outlet shopping centre official Christmas lights switch on. We do it every year. There is a stage with a male voice choir and carol singers and presenters from the local radio station. Santa makes an appearance on stage with one of his elves, and this year there were visits from olympians and paralympians. We stand in front of the stage, listen to the christmasy things happening, watch the lights switch on, then go into a coffee house for a decadent creamy festive hot chocolate with glittery gold marshmallows! For us, it officially marks the start of Christmas :-D x

The Gate to Nowhere! by Carol Clarke

November is here and we have been lucky to have some really lovely sunny days. Sooo Ive been taking advantage of this nice weather to get out and about and enjoy some lovely walking. We are lucky to live in a rural part of the country with lots of fields, footpaths and bridleways in the area. I took this photo of the gate to nowhere not far from our house. It is on a small triangular patch of land sandwiched between fields and footpaths and I walk past it most days! The gate is marooned on its own and must once have afforded access to somewhere .... but no one Ive asked to knows where or what! Below are 2 of my NEWEST Christmas On the Shelf Cards. Watch out for more Coming soon ... Just as soon as Ive drawn the characters! lol

AN UNUSUAL HOTEL by Wanda Lipski

I had a birthday surprise last weekend when I was taken off to spend a night on a houseboat on the Rhone river in the heart of the city of Lyon. You wouldnt think from the outside that the interior is beautifully appointed even if space is limited. The most surprising thing of all ... totally quiet, despite a noisy life going on outside, you couldnt hear a thing ! My best moments were watching swans while I drank my morning coffee, with me on the same level as the birds and watching a cormorant fishing, bringing up a little fish every time he dived. Unfortunately I couldnt manage to photograph him ... So to celebrate, Im sharing one of my bird cards and a dangle card just perfect for birthdays and useable for no other occasion. ENJOY!

Following in Family Footsteps by Liz Harrison

This is my youngest granddaughter Skyla having a colourful time painting. She is only just 2 years old , and is already getting involved with family crafting. Painting is her favorite at the minute as you can see from the smile . We have to keep a close eye on her though .She is very mischevious and will add the paint to walls and furniture given a chance. The dog keeps well out of the way too, he has been painted in the past. Christmas cards are the next painting projects to do

Pudding! by Sue Way

When I was a child I remember visiting my nan in her prefab in East London & watching with fascination as she made Steak & Kidney pudding. I always thought she was pouring more liquid into the pudding, but now I know she was adding water to the pot to stop it boiling dry. When I got married, I was very young & didnt know much about cooking, so I would go to the butcher everyday & ask him what I should cook, he helped me on my way to having a list of meals each week. I also added to that list my nans Steak & Kidney pudding. It has always been my hubbys favorite meal, so when we both became vegetarians 25 years ago I had to adapt it. So I substituted Quorn for the steak & firm button mushrooms for the kidney. Now Quorn & Mushroom Pudding is hubbys favourite meal. I dont make it for him as often as he would like as it takes all afternoon, but must admit my mouth still waters when I cut into it, just like it did when I was a child. Today I am showcases my latest designs, both of them are on special offer with 25% off.Thank you to everyone who follows me. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

The Teddy Cake by Joanna Swinton

I went to my daughters to babysit the twins while the older two went to an organised event. The JDRF - Type 1 Diabetes Research Funding and Advocacy Group for this area planned a night with loads of different events. They had great fun and got home at about 10.30pm. Amanda had won a very big teddy cake on Guess the Weight. Her guess was 1lbs out and they wondered if she had previously made and weighed one as it was so close. They knew she made cakes but she had never made it and she never weighs her cakes. The cake was absolutely lovely!

Super Moon by Robyn Cockburn

Wow - Im sure a lot of people saw the super moon in the last week, although I did hear that some places were cloudy. We were very lucky here is Brisbane (Australia) as the skies were crystal clear! My hubby Paul took some great photos (just with his digital camera). His hands are rather a lot steadier than mine these day! Apparently this is the closest a Full Moon has been to Earth since January 26, 1948!! I have been dabbling with water colour painting (real brushes etc - not digital painting!) in the last week. I have used some of the results with my newest designs - I hope you like them. :)
