Gopher Turtles by Janice Shehan

Here is a photo of my husband, Jim holding a Gopher Turtle. These huge turtles are on the Endangered Species List and live right in our back yard! At first the dogs just would not leave them alone and kept barking at them, trying to play. Soon they got the message from the turtles and us, that they were not toys. Luckily as Mother Nature would have it, their nest is just outside the fence and our babies cant get to them :)

I enjoy making these pop up box card decoupage kits! I recently discovered them and thought them too complicated for me! Well I purchased the template from a CUP designer and made my first one!

LA BRAVADE by Wanda Lipski

There we were for the weekend, my husband, the dog and me, and we came across an event in the tiny seaside town of Stes Maries da la Mer. Tiny or huge, whichever you prefer as 2400 souls share the 2nd largest commune in France (144 square miles) with mosquitos, horse, flamingos and bulls. This is the capital of the Camargue, known for its animals, birds and rice. The town is named for its three saints named Mary, ladies persecuted for their faith who were cast adrift from Jerusalem in a boat without a sail or rudder and who ended up, with their precious relics, on the South Coast of France. The truth about the third saint venerated in the place is unknown, but Saint Sarah is venerated by the gypsies who are among the tens of thousands of pilgrims who visit the place each year. Because this is the Camargue there are also arenas and bulls and because there was a show in the afternoon we caught the arrival of the bulls, who charge through the streets surrounded by men on horseback, tightly grouped as you can see so that the bulls dont run amok among the spectators. I only got a look at the back end of the bulls, but am greatly in admiration of the horses... ENJOY !

Photo shoot by Kelly Barker

A couple of years ago my cousin got in to photography and has spent the last 2 years honing her skills and taking wonderful photos. Last year she decided to try something completely different to her usual family photo shoots and weddings and did a scary doll photos shoot. My daughters we lucky enough to be part of this project and my cousin had been itching to get them back in the studio, so last weekend we travelled down to her and my girls had a fabulous 2 hours of photos! They were so excited and my cousin wanted to do so much with them, lots of costume changes, backgrounds and fun. This is a little sneak peek of one of the set ups, I cant wait to see all the edited images. All of my backing paper kits are currently on special offer, with 25% off! Please remember to click follow under my designer name, so you never miss an update. Thanks for looking x

Tea & Cake! by Sue Way

On our last trip our in our caravan for the year, we made the most of the good weather by taking lots of walks & exploring the surrounding area. We rewarded each walk by sitting outside one of the many pretty tea rooms and indulging in some tea and cake! One day I had a delicious Victoria sponge topped with fresh strawberries, but my favorite was this scrumptious carrot cake. Hubby had fruit cake and cappuccino. I really loved the tea set too, decorated with a seaside theme. This teas shop was also an art centre and gallery. We cant wait to visit again next year! Today I am promoting 2 of my latest Christmas designs. Another in my cute Christmas Girls series and a really special Scalloped Round Easel card. Thank you to everyone who follows me. http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387

Lyme Park by Carol Dunne

We are very fortunate to live near to Lyme Park, Cheshire, Uk. It is just a short car drive away and as we are members of the National Trust we go there quite often just as we did last weekend. We walked around the deer park and had a wander around the lake. This is the famous lake that Mr Darcy swam in when they filmed Pride and Prejudice her a number of years ago. There are stories of a number of ghosts which are supposed to be seen around the place. I am sure it will be quite spooky on Halloween Night.

Here are two of my latest Z-Fold pop-ups.

Wedding Anniversary by Diane Hannah

Still happy after eight years of marriage! This is my son and daughter-in-law, getting ready to go out on the town for their eighth anniversary. A lovely dinner for two, some drinks, and a little time alone, away from all of the pressures of their daily lives. They went to the Sun Dial Restaurant, in Atlanta, GA, USA. To make life even a little better over the weekend they will spend a romantic weekend in a lovely mountain cabin, with a breathtaking view.

Our youngest grandson Austin seems to grow every week and as well as that its amazing how he can do more, understand more and communicate more too! For instance this week he climbed up into the wooden houose in the play area, went to the window and said Hi Nana, and then when I asked for coffee and cake he then handed me my pretendy refreshments with a big smile! lol I wonder what new things hell amaze us with next week! lolBelow are 2 of my NEWEST On the Shelf Cards. And Esme catches up . . . by Kim Blundred

Over a 2 week period my 3 cats have all turned 2. Hugo & Ralph featured in the news letter with their birthdays on 16th & 26th September. Esme is the baby, but not by much. Esme turned 2 on 30th September. Although shes only a little behind the boys in terms of age, she is tiny by comparison, weighing in at 3.7 kilos. Shes still as cute as a kitten, but theres no messing with her . . .shes very tough (probably through having 2 big brothers :-)). The photos are Esme as a kiteen, Esme in the birthday tunnel, and kicking back on the cat cabin.

A Few More Donkeys! by Janyce Cotterill

Following on from last weeks mailer of The Scottish Borders Donkey Sanctuary here are my final few pics. Its a great place to visit. Just up the A68 from England and off to the right ! Easy to find and good parking facilities. Entry is by donation. It is open for tours on Saturdays & Sundays from 2.00 p.m. from Easter until first week in January. The tour takes around an hour and the super volunteers take you around all the fields where the donkeys are and they provide you with food to give to them. As soon as the donkeys see the visitors arriving they know its lunchtime and they charge across the field, often braying loudly as they gallop over to the fence. One of our sponsored donkeys, Shaggy Sean, is pictured in the bottom left of the pics.Im leaving you with my latest Christmas design and a Christmas design from my Sometimes.....range of sheets.Thank you for your interest.

First day at the beach in Spring by Joan King

We have had a shocking spell of bad weather for Spring. I know they say it is unreliable weather at this time of the year but it has been pretty horrific with gale force winds, rain, rain and more rain and flooding etc. We have had one nice hot day (well not so hot but warm at around 20 degrees) and my grand daughter who loves going to the beach got her wish along with her two brothers who actually went into the sea. It cant have been that warm as it hasnt seen much sun. Goodness knows how they can do that. Kids seem to be able to do anything these days. My grand daughter took her first proper steps today. I have seen her stand on the trampoline and bounce and then fall down but now it seems she is in the stage of walking so there will be no holding her back now.

Autumn Stroll by June Young

Although I live in a part of the Country that most people who dont know the area would associate with the Industrial Revolution - Cotton Mills, Mining, Heavy Industry etc; just 5 minutes from my front door we have green fields and lovely woods. On a recent stroll through a local wooded area I spotted the one tree that has decided that Autumn has now arrived. Alone in a sea of green its leaves are changing to a beautiful yellow/orange just reminding us that shorter and cooler days are now on our doorstep.

Tooth Fairy! by Tina Fitch

Oh dear! Time is certainly moving very fast! The girls have started to lose their baby teeth... Both have lost the bottom two already but they have grown very quickly which I dont remember happening when I lost mine hahahaha..Anyway Megan has lost one of her top teeth this week... and what a gap it left! We were hoping it would fall out until we arrived at Disney this year so she could have Tinkerbelle leave her a present... When in Disney do as they do I say.. and them Americans always do it big! I am sure she would have been over the moon with her present.. However another present would also have to have been left for Ava.. Being twins you cant do one without the other..Thats Nannies Rules! All new designs uploaded this week are Christmas based... And in all file formats for all machines.. http://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/ Thank you for your continued support..
