The fruits of our labour! by Sue Way

I cant pretend that my hubby knows much about gardening and although I have always loved pottering, I have only learnt as Ive gone along, although my mother-in-law taught me a lot. Although she is no longer with us, she passed on her love of fuchsias to both hubs and me & we are gradually filling our garden with more each year. Every year hubby has a go at growing a bit of veg, not always with success. But this year we have done well. We have had loads of cherry tomatoes and blackberries and it looks like we are going to have a bumper crop of grapes too. The one thing we are never lucky with is peppers, so this year we decided to try chili peppers. They are looking great at the moment, with lots of green chilies coming through. I just hope they go red as I already have a recipe ready for chili jam. They are planted in an old butler sink along with chives & a few alpines, but they dont seem to mind! As its nearly time for the new school term to start in the UK, here are a couple of suitable designs. One for a little girl starting school and one for starting University or a new job. SCOUTS IN PANISSIERES by Wanda Lipski

On Monday we hosted a group of 4 scouts who were going to camp ... in our garden! I dont know if this is a safety measure but it certainly doesnt square with how things were back in my Guiding days. They were sent on a 10 mile hike from their base case (I think they had tents there) spent the night with us (on comfy beds but in their sleeping bags) and left for another long hike back to their base camp. Aged from 10-14, I have rarely met 4 such interesting, well-brought up children. It was a real pleasure to have them with us as they regaled us with jokes and stories, political comment and finally, and when I found a guitar, with some pretty nifty classic and rock pieces. Yet another example of how the French never do anything the same way as anyone else !!!!!!!! Im busy of a series of handbag cards, and these are the first two, but check back on my name this week to see the others as they are made up and photographed. Have a good week.

Butterflies and Bees by Patricia Platt

Two years ago I redid our front border to make it more bee friendly. We had some budleia decide to grow on its own, and as you know I let volunteer plants grow. We keep trimming it down to be more of a hedge than bushes and it seems to have produced more flowers. And this year is full of both butterflies and bees. :) We need to look after our little winged friends too.

Christmas is around the corner.... So here are some designs to get you going. You can also check out the rest of my designs and bumper kits at http://www.craftsuprint.com/patricia-platt/list/products.cfm . Thanks all who have purchased my designs. xx

My new bag! by Anne Lever

I absolutely love the tv series Poldark, and I am looking forwards to the new series coming soon! A well known seaside based company recently commissioned six famous people to create designs for their famous tote bags. They then had an online competition and asked people to comment on which one they wanted and why, to win said bag. My favourite design featured Poldark and his wife on horseback with a cornish mine behind them. I didnt win the competion, but always wanted the bag. My daughter spotted it in our local shop, and bought it for me as she knew how much I wanted it!

Here are two of my new designs made from some gorgeous brand new roses.

Planning for the heat by Robyn Cockburn

Summer gets very hot here so one particular garden I have has always struggled. My parents decided to help me out - they bought me two cacti plants! If these dont grow out the front then NOTHING is going to! I love the different colours and shapes you get with these plants. The heat wont be a problem for a while but I decided it was a good idea to take advantage of the lovely temperatures now to be outdoors.Ive also been digitally painting some flowers. I hope you like these designs with my dahlias and poinsettias.

Crafting with Nana by Carol Clarke

All my granddaughters have loved spending time crafting with me and 4 year old Olivia is o different. She loves seeing and handling all sorts of animal life from slugs and snails to butterflies and bunnies. So I thought Id introduce her to papercrafting and make an octopus. She loved it and drew it all herself. Her scissor skills arent quite as good as her drawing skills so I helped cut a few of the tentacles. Ollie Octopus was proudly taken home to show Mummy .... and then Olivia pronounced her verdict on the Octopus I made ... but Nanas circles arent as good as mine! she said! lolBelow are more of my On the Shelf Cards. Watch out for more Coming soon ... Just as soon as Ive drawn the characters! lol

Warkworth Castle, Northumberland by Janyce Cotterill

Not far from a river and long golden sandy beach, a pretty village and some good pubs, restaurants and cafes stands tall and proud Warkworth Castle. The visit to this castle brought back so many childhood memories to me as we visited this place on a school trip. I loved it way back then, I still do now. Theres lots to explore in this castle, lots of little rooms to hide in, stairs to clamber up and space to be wild and free. Perfect for both adults and children. After the castle visit you can go down by the river, row a boat out, walk on the long sandy beach, pop in a few little gift shops and find somewhere nice to eat. Just a perfect way to spend a day or weekend. Well worth a visit. Continuing on with my castle theme Im leaving you with one of my castle theme sheets and my latest Christmas Verse Insert sheets. Thank you for your interest. I hope you like them.

Dolly walking by Tina Fitch

My youngest Daughter Amber has a new puppy, well shes not so little now, and the twins just love taking her walking... Here they are on one of their walks, They take it in turns to hold Dolly and are very careful as you can see..Megan is a little apprehensive of Dolly not sure why, she doesnt like her jumping up her and of course Dolly gets excited to see them so obviously wants to jump up and kiss them. Megan tries her hardest not to be so scared of her jumping and we try to explain that shes only a baby and will eventually calm down hahahahah I doubt it but we can only hope.Wont be long before she is full grown but not too much bigger, shes a Cockapoo and they dont get very big... Thankfully you hear me say... All designs in all file formats here .. http://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/ Thank you for your continued support.

Spider-Man and the 3 Princesses by Kelly Barker

Both of my girls love dancing and they have both over the last few years had birthday parties with a lovely lady I know who does Zumba parties for kids. This year she has branched out and now she offers characters at her parties. As a special launch of her new character theme she held a special summer party at a local hall. Obviously my girls couldnt wait to go, they had so much fun playing games and dancing that I think they had almost forgotten about the special guests. They were so excited as the princesses and spider-Man came out on stage one by one and they even got to dance with them and all the children had a chance for a photo too. Here are my girls posing with the characters. This week I have put 12 Christmas designs on special offer all with 25% off. I think my Reindeer Family Christmas design would also make a lovely babys first christmas card. Thanks for looking and please remember to follow me on Craftsuprint so you never miss a new design.

Tarantula by Joan King

Being the school holidays in the UK my grand children are taken out many days of the week and they took a trip to one of the wildlife parks to see one of their favourite animals if you can call them that. They both love tarantulas and this photo was taken of both of them having their moment with the said tarantula. It scares me even looking at it in a photo.....
