One year old Austin loves shoes and decided to try Granddads size nines on for size! Bless him they were like boats on him ... but as you can see he was just proud as punch to be wearing them ... he had to have a hand from his Mummy to try and walk in them though! He Clip Clopped around the kitchen for ages ... and loved every moment of it. He wasnt best amused when Granddad claimed them back again though! lolBelow are 2 of my NEWEST On the Shelf Cards. Watch out for more Coming soon ... Just as soon as Ive drawn the characters! lol

Dog and Cat Rescue by Patricia Platt

My friend Liz runs Chaldon Animal Sanctuary and she is having a stall table on June 11th to help raise some funds for the running of the Sanctuary. She has taken in animals that normally find it hard to find a home. Her web page has the latest news on her most recent dog, Zora who was frightened of everyone and everything. She put up photos recently and the change in Zora is amazing. She is now a very happy dog and living a lovely life with my friend and her new furry friends. This is some of the items I made for her table top sale. Besides my designs here I also like to do crocheting for different charities.

40th Birthday Party by Joan King

This week my son celebrated his 40th Birthday with a special party called a Come as your favourite Hollywood Star There were around 40 people there in all and everyone was dressed up to the nines. They held it in a bar/restaurant in town where they took over about half of it. In this photo my son is in the blonde wig and is dressed as Thor and his wife is in the red wig. Everyone seemed to have a great time but then at his partys they usually do!!!

Our Local Lake by Carol James

We are lucky enough to have this lake a short walk from our house. Gorgeous to visit on a warm day. We often take a wander around this lake which is excellent exercise for the old legs. The local fishermen make good use of the lake as well. Here is a photo of one of the tents used by a fisherman in a great spot. Here are two of my latest designs and thank you for taking a look.

Fossil Hunting! by Sue Way

Out granddaughter Jessica is nearly 8 and loves anything to do with rocks, dinosaurs and crystals. Last Sunday we all went to the beach at Walton-on-the-Naze, which is near to us and is a known site for fossils, sharks teeth ect The town is bordered along its northern edge by a stretch of rapidly eroding cliffs and foreshore known as The Naze. Erosion has reportedly caused the cliff to retreat 0.5 metres per year in recent years. The fossiliferous clays and sands exposed in The Naze area belong to the London Clay and Red Crag formations, and provide evidence of prehistoric life and conditions 54 million years ago! We werent lucky enough to find any sharks teeth this time, but after a while of walking with our heads bent, both girls had a bag each of treasure to take back up to the visitors center to be analysed. One of Jess finds was a piece of fossilized wood that was 50 million years old, she also found a 2 million year old bi valve and hubby found a rare clear mineral. We had a great time and will be going back soon to hunt for sharks teeth! http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387Here are my latest Elegant Lady Mini Kits. Im in love with flowers by Gertraud Lueckel

Each year we have a big show for dahlias. I go one day earlier, so mostly im alone with the flowers :) and take pictures. Im doing macro photographie, so nothing what i can realy use for my design, but i just love it. To see things you dont realice only from looking at them. Mushrooms and moss is a very cool thing to picture in macro, looks like little planets with lots of little creatures. Or how insects looks in such a close view, awesome in my opinion. I hope you can see my love for details in my designs too.

New Great-Granddaughter

by Mary MacBean

My new great-granddaughter Amelia Rose made a dramatic entrance into the world this week. My granddaughters labour progressed so quickly that they realised they didnt have time to get to the hospital which is only about a 15 minute drive away. My daugher phoned for an ambulance. The ambulance control person stayed on the line, giving my daughter instructions on how to deliver the baby, if necessary, a prospect which neither she nor my granddaughters partner relished. The ambulance arrived very quickly, however and they headed for the hospital. They only made it to the end of the road before the baby arrived. Thankfully, mother and baby were both absolutely fine, father is recovering. The paramedics were wonderful although they admitted that in all their years of experience, this was the first time it had happened to them. The babys birth certificate now has her place of birth as the back of an ambulance and the name of the road! The photograph is of the baby meeting her big sister Niamh for the first time.

Half Term Holiday by Kelly Barker

Last week we were lucky enough to get away for a last minute break to a caravan park for the half term holidays. The girls were very excited especially as they were going to get to see Loopy Rabbit and Cyril the Squirrel! I was happy because I got to take our gorgeous dog Baxter with us, its just not the same when he cant come with us. We got to the caravan park on the monday and cue the torrential rain and gale force winds! Well it just wouldnt be a proper holiday otherwise, would it!? Well we didnt let the bad weather spoil our fun and we still got out and about and did all the activities we had planned and Jessica and Imogen got to meet Loopy and Cyril! This week I have uploaded to gorgeously girlie designs for you with a pampering theme. These two mini kits have so much decoupage you could use all on the one card or make matching gift tags or toppers, the choice is yours. All the images have been drawn by myself and you can sell all cards made from my designs. Thanks for looking x

When Will The Cough Stop?

by Joanna Swinton

Ive been seeing my doctor since Christmas with a very bad cough. Ive been up during the night coughing really badly and it was making me feel miserable. My doctor run a lot of different tests and all came up with nothing. She sent me for an x-ray and it was clear. I kept telling her that it was all in my throat and she decided that they needed to get a camera down to see if there was anything down there that shouldnt be. I was so worried about it. The day arrived and off I went. To my relief the camera was put into my nose then down my throat. It felt very odd although totally painless. My throat was clear. I said I thought it was maybe the thick mucus in my nose so she gave me a spray that cleared it up, but still I coughed. Then she gave me some anti-histamines and they made a difference, but not for long. It all errupted again. It seems the pollen type had changed since giving me the tablets. We were now in the Birch Tree pollen season. She changed my tablets and Ive been a lot better, thank goodness.
