Back from holidays! by Robyn Cockburn

Paul and I have recently returned from a big holiday. As Europe is a long way from Australia, we stopped for a day and a half in Bangkok first. Shopping is great there but I dont know about those handbags made from REAL crocodile heads! After that we went to Switzerland. We hired a car and drove ourselves to Lauterbrunnen. Wow the weather was fantastic so our views and photos all look like postcards. There were tulips, daffodils, poppies and pansies everywhere. There was still quite a bit of snow about. The lake in Zurich was so beautiful and serene. The swans looked so regal in the sunshine.

Meet AMAZING Coen. by Vicki Avcin

Thursday 26th May saw an amazing little man celebrate his 5th Birthday. That amazing little mans name is Coen. His mum and dad have had a very wonderful 5 yrs with Coen and probably wondered a few years ago if they get to celebrate it with him. You see 5 weeks after being born, Coen he was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia. He was taken by Careflight (emergency patient transport) from the hospital in the country town where they lived to the Childrens Hospital in Brisbane where he underwent a liver Biopsy & a Bone Marrow Biopsy. Within a week he had a Kasai procedure, (to enable bile drainage) which his parents were told had failed and he would require a life saving Liver Transplant by the age of 2. Biliary atresia is a condition in which inflammation develops within the bile ducts around the time of birth. The inflammation can occur in any of the bile ducts both inside and outside the liver. This leads to bile duct damage, reducing the flow of bile, which causes scarring of the liver. It is a rare life-threatening disease that affects approx 1 in 20000 newborns. The cause is still unknown and research goes on to find out. Coen requires a regime of medications & medicated formula throughout the day & night to avoid Malnutrition due to his malabsorbtion of essential Fats & Vitamins, also to try to alleviate the severe itch he experiences caused by the bile build-up in his system. Coen regularly attends Clinics, his bloods are taken to monitor his levels & he has Hospital admissions to receive Albumin Transfusions or Lipids Infusions depending on the results....of Pathology. At the moment Coen is attending hospital every 5 weeks for his tune ups. One very brave little fellow because he now is at an age that he knows whats going to happen yet can still find the most gorgeous smile. His awesome parents take each day as it comes, as so far Coen isnt on the Transplant List but given the nature of this disease, that day will possibly be not too long now. So his Birthday today (as I write this), is a huge milestone in this little mans life. Not only will he be celebrating but Mum and Dad will be celebrating too that he has come this far and they get to celebrate with him. Good on you Awesome Coen!!

Majestic Bird by Tina Fitch

We trotted up to Suffolk again this week to watch the F15s launch from RAF Lakenheath.. We stopped at our normal haunt to park and watch. However once there I saw 4 birds walking into the woodland path just across from our parking space, To my surprise it was 4 peacock birds. 2 males and 2 females. I have never seen one of these birds in the wild..There was already a couple of guys there near them taking photos as one male had his full mating attire in full view for all to see! And what a beautiful site it was too.. I got closer and closer as the bird was actually back to us and the nearer we got the more he turned so we didnt get the front view of the feathers which obviously we all wanted..So I took it upon myself to pass the male with feather in full show so the guys could get a full front photo... When done I decided to take a few videos and a few photos of my own but still I couldnt get full frontal, he just wasnt having me look at the beautiful display! So sorry you can only see what I did.. Photos below for you! This week I have 11 special offers for you.. All file formats offered on them all too.. You can see them all here.. http://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/list/specials.cfm My product showcase of my fav designs are here.. http://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/list/showcase.cfmAnd all other designs in all formats are here http://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/ with an array of designs to choose from!

Swan Family! by Sue Way

There is a golf course that runs along the seafront where we live. It has a lake in it and a swan couple live there. Last month we saw them building a huge nest at the side of the lake, then a few weeks later I took a pic of one of the swans sitting on her eggs, while the other kept watch. A few days ago we saw them swimming around the lake with 4 little signets. It was so beautiful, but it was an overcast day so I couldnt get a picture. Today was sunny so I snapped a shot of her in the nest with her babies. She is standing up protecting them as a golfer had just been near her to take a picture. Isnt nature wonderful? http://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/?r=968387 Today I am promoting my latest design and one of my most popular wedding designs. Dont forget to follow me on my page, so you never miss an update. Happy Crafting!

Like This Granddad by Joanna Swinton

We love having our grandchildren over. We have the twins quite often so that my daughter can spend some time with the to older ones. The twins are one now called Liam and Lucy. The other day we had them. I walked in from the kitchen to hear Liam babytalking to my husband while showing him a toy. I had to laugh to myself. We might be sorry when he learns to talk. Sometime he sings to us too. Hes such a darling, just like his twin sister.

Belsay Hall by Janyce Cotterill

Another beautiful day, another beautiful place to visit. Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens in Northumberland was our destination this week. Owned by English Heritage there was plenty to see and do with all the lovely things you would expect, walks, gardens, tea room, shop, hall and a castle - what more could you want? This place does have a unique and tranquil atmosphere and is full of history. The quarry gardens are quite magical. These are just a few snapshots I took as we walked around. Next time Ill share some of the garden pictures.Im leaving you this week with a couple of my mini-kits, one is my latest upload, both of these kits are on special offer. Thank you for your interest.

First ride by Joan King

My grand daughter Brooklyn who is now 9 months old has just had her first ride in a swing in the park. At first she didnt seem sure she liked it but never cried and eventually she started to smile and we were able to give her a proper swing. She had her brother with her and of course he spent most of the time making her giggle. I think she will be keen in the future to give it another go. The next day she then went onto the slide with brother and she loved that. They grow up so fast that she no longer seems like a baby anymore.

Reclaiming a Walk In Closet

for a Creative Space by Judith Henry

A year ago part of our big Victorian house was remodeled to give us a bedroom en suite. This then left a lovely walking closet in our old bedroom empty. So, I filled it with my crafting supplies and old furniture. It was functional but not very organized. This week I corralled my hubby and got him busy putting up a new desk while I bought a chair and supply containers. My old desk now supports my cameo and the shelves over it holds my paper and craft supplies. The whole closet is not even big enough to setup a twin bed but to me its like heaven now. Lots of room to move around in, well organized and lovely lighting. Now, back to being productive and create some wonderful projects.

A spot of gardening by Kelly Barker

We have just finally had a new fence put up in our garden, this was well over due and now its up we just keep looking at it (I know thats sad ha ha). Now the garden has a nice new fence we got out there to do a bit of a tidy up at the weekend, the girls were a great help pulling up weeds and sweeping up, but then they wanted to do some proper gardening too. Unfortunately Im not much of a gardener. I love colourful flowers, but dont find the time to do it properly, I am more of a chuck some seeds about and see what happens kind of girl!Me and the girls had bought some bulbs a while back and they were still in the packs waiting to see the light of day, so using my lazy approach to gardening we got stuck in and planted them wherever there was a space. The girls loved getting mucky in the mud and as I had misplaced my gloves I had very dirty finger nails by the end! Heres a pic of the girls showing off their bulbs, fingers crossed something grows :)
