Its Just Otto by Janice McFarlane

Its hard to believe Otto the Wiermaraner is only 6 months. I get pictures from my daughter most days of his strange sleeping and sitting positions. She made me laugh the other day when she phoned me as she does that instead of Otto sitting on the Ottoman (no pun intended) to look out the window comfortably, he has to stand on her on the couch to strain to look out of the small back window instead. When she phoned again for a chat Otto was asleep on the Ottoman which he really doesnt fit on, then my daughter started to laugh again, as if in slow motion he just slid off the ottoman to the floor. He does make me smile and has brought so much laughter to the whole family.

Youngest granddaughter, Olivia, was competing in an indoor race competition last weekend. This time it was at an indoor race venue in Sheffield. This time it was an 800 metres creme de la creme race where she was the youngest in the race, with the other competitors being significantly older! She ran really well and did brilliantly …. She finished in 4th, with a new personal best time! We couldnt be prouder of her! Watch this space though, as shes running again this weekend at Rushcliffe Country Park, and this time its a Cross Country Race, which she loves running. Ill be there to cheer her on too! Lol
