Its That Time of Year Again! by Janyce Cotterill

Here we are in the UK - my favourite time of year, Spring, and luckily again this year blue tits started to view the box weeks ago. We cant tell if its the same couple which used it last year of course, but that doesnt matter really. Its a joy to have birds back again. Theyve just started to take a couple of bits into the box today. Lets hope it is a good season for them. So Im leaving you with my latest floral sheets with matching verse and blank inserts and within the collection one is Christian themed too. New Camera by Tina Fitch

I brought myself the new Canon R7 & Cannon 100-500 lens to go with it, I was really pleased with the clarity of the photo it takes as opposed to my old one. I did take it with me to Vegas last week but didnt use it much due to me not knowing the settings.You can zoom in closer to and the detail is second to none, I took this from my visit on Tuesday to RAF Lakenheath and I was really taken back with how beautiful the shoot was ..I cant wait too use on my Fox Babies that have now been born, I am so excited to be able to get so much detail on one shot..

STILL ALIVE by Wanda Lipski

... but it feels like only just! 2022 was my annus horribilis. My first fracture of my right hand in October 2021 was followed by 5 further fractures to the same hand, which stopped my piano, accordeon, clarinette, organ and flute playing! I did not have enough control of my hand to manipulate the computer mouse to doctor images and prepare cards so ... no news from me basically last year. I can now hold a needle so I am able to sew but not yet able to apply the necessary pressure pour beading. I have now been able to use a cutter to test out my images so I have been able to upload some card fronts ... tried and tester ! Since my husband is now kick, my consolation comes from Ravel, our blenheim cavalier who has been able to make his own contribution to the household, in addition to but not replacing the souvenir of our much loved tricolour Misty who featured regularly on these pages. Enjoy my latest designs and lets hope that I can keep them coming.

Happy Easter by Judith Henry

Easter cactus or Christmas cactus. Someone must have told my Christmas cactus to bloom at Easter this year. At Christmas I research this plant at Christmas when it bloomed. But… guess what. Its blooming now also. Im excited since the first flower should bloom on Sunday. Wish I could figure out how to make a popup cactus card.

... youngest granddaughter, Olivia, was running in the National Year 7 Primary Schools Championships this weekend, representing the Nottinghamshire, Mansfield area. This was her first time running at National Level and she placed 61st out of nearly 200 girls running in the race! Her friend Evie did even better placing an amazing 15th in the massive field! We are so proud of them! It was an awful day with torrential rain and the Cross Country course was really muddy and hazardous in places too! Well done Girls!!

Get Your Gonk On by Janice McFarlane

Well Im still making gonks ready for the craft fair I have at the end of the month. These are made differently to my usual ones. The head is a raggedy Pom Pom, the nose some cut up tights and the hat is partially made from a section of the cardboard from the inside of a paper towel roll, which the has strands of yarn wrapped round and gathered at the top to make a Pom Pom. These are simple to do so easy for batch making. I also made some in red white and blue ready for the coronation.

Oh to be a ..... by Vicki Avcin

Cat! I tell you this cat can sleep anywhere she wants in this house but no, she picks some odd spots to stretch out or hide. Now that the days are cooler her new spot is inside the back door where she is getting a little bit of morning sun. At the moment her usual daytime bed is on one of the chairs under the table. Every so often we wont be able to find her and the hunt is on. When we go out she migrates into the bottom space of the cabinet where we have the TV or on top of unpacked boxes in the rumpus room. Another spot she likes is on the bath mat in front of the shower in the ensuite. Why dont we have a cat that likes doing normal things like on the bed or on a chair?

Happy Anniversary! by Sue Way

Last Saturday was our 45th Wedding Anniversary. Yes, we got married on April Fools Day! As it fell on a Saturday we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out at the new Lounges restaurant that has opened on the seafront in our town. It has really nice decor and a relaxed feel to it. We sat in the window looking out over the beach and the pier. The menu offered a lot of vegetarian options which was perfect for us. We had a lovely meal and will definitely go back another day. We may even pop in on one of our morning walks for coffee and cake, as it is dog friendly.
