His Royal Gonkness by Janice McFarlane

Well with the coronation of King Charles fast approaching there is bound to be a flurry of souvenirs and such, flooding the market. I have a craft fair the week before the coronation so have been busying myself on an evening crocheting some right Royal honks in honor of the event. So I crocheted a couple of royal gonks. It was a little challenging especially the crown as I was using gold lame and I had a right carry on with trying to get the gems to stick on. Even using the appropriate glue wasnt helping then I used metallic confetti and sequins for the medals and the order of the garter emblems. I think these were my most detailed honks I have made to date but really pleased with how they turned out.

A First For Me! by Tina Fitch

B1 Lancer taking off from Nellis AFB during RedFlag last week. Yeah my first time back since Covid struck! First time Ive ever seen it take off in full flight. I was so excited considering they never do Red Flag 2. They always die Red flag 1 always so Im so happy I got to see it and more importantly take photos of it. There was loads more there taking part but I needed to see it for sure. Its huge massive and the noise is something else. The weather in Vegas was a bit iffy while we were there which is unusual considering it was moved on a week n. But I got the shot

Someones watching you! by Judith Henry

The weather is getting nicer and the doors are open to visitors. Luckily we have a friend visiting who is watching out for us. She is so friendly but dont try to pick her up when she is on the prowl. Luckily we havent gotten any furry presents yet. And her visit is now over. Back home she will go. No more purrrrrring sounds, playing with newspaper or cutting pieces.

... am one really lucky Mum! For Mothers day this year not only did I receive these gorgeous flowers and card from my daughter, but I had a whole weekend of lovely times! Firstly I got to go with my eldest granddaughter and all our female relatives to collect her wedding dress! Id been there for all the choosing and trying on over the past year too and it was lovely to see her gorgeous smile when she put her actual dress on!! We are the keepers of the dress too as its residing at our house for the next few weeks. I wish I could show you the photos I took ... but ... obviously they are secret for the time being! We were then (4 Mums in all) treated to a family Mothers day meal out with our other halves being allowed to attend too, including my youngest son and family. Only my eldest Son was absent, but Ill forgive him as hes on the other side of the world at the moment working in Australia! He works all over the world programming the computer side of extremely expensive, huge industrial printers. One week he can be in America, then the next I hear hes in Spain, followed by New Zealand etc etc! He does sometimes get a chance to come home to England in between his trips to grab some clean clothes etc though! lol

Attic ladder by Vicki Avcin

Well our Renos continue and today saw the Attic Ladder put in. The manhole into the ceiling is a bit squeezy to fit through and climbing a ladder to get into the ceiling was difficult for everyone besides the fact that the ceiling is cracked and I worried about the whole thing giving way. We have to replace that ceiling so we thought why not do away with the manhole and just put a proper ladder in. So today the man came and put this new attic ladder in. Attic Ladders are becoming very popular here now and although we only wanted it for ease of access to the roof, people are putting floors into the ceiling and using the space for storage. I think they are a great idea……. And so does the cat. She was very interested when we pulled it down and wouldve loved to get up into the ceiling and go exploring. We did spoil all her fun though and put it back up before she got the chance to try it out!

My Sewing Project by Sue Way

Even though I am a beginner in my sewing journey I really wanted to have a go at making a bucket hat. As it was soon to be my youngest granddaughters birthday and she loves a hat, I decided to make it for Pepper Pig fabric as all Three year old love Pepper Pig. I kept putting it off, but I told her I was making it so put some pressure on myself to get it done. So here it is, my first reversible bucket hat. Daisy loved it and her daddy has already put an order in for one for himself. Today is the last day of my end of month SALE! 20% off of my whole store! So grab a bargain quick!
