Give us a Kissh by Janice McFarlane

One thing my daughter and family love to do is visit a farm. (So do I). They are lucky where they live they have quite a good choice of them. The one they go to on a regular basis is not too far and free entry. Of course you can buy food to feed some of the animals and its something Alfie and Harry love to do. On this occasion there were lots of baby animals with it being that time of the year. There was lambing in one of the barns to view too, and the sheep didnt seem to mind the spectators. Harry likes pigs, so was thrilled with all the piglets. My daughter Kayleigh loves cows, so she was so pleased when one came up to her and put its head forward, to stick his tongue out as if trying to give her a kiss. It it was quite muddy the day they went but they dont mind. Wrllies on and they were good to go.

Mothers Day by Sue Way

I had a lovely Mothers Day. It was also our granddaughters birthday so we combined the two occasions. We had gifts and chocolate cake to celebrate! I received a giant box of chocolates and a lovely mixed plant basket from my daughter, and my son sent me a tin of biscuits and a box of indulgent fudge. I feel thoroughly spoilt but I will have to up the dog walks after this lot! lol

... Youngest Son, Paul, was running in the indoor British Masters Athletics Competition in London last weekend. He wasnt sure till nearly the last moment that he was going to be able to make it as we were supposed to be having his children, our grandchildren, whilst he was there. Unfortunately we couldnt have them as Id fallen and dislocated my elbow! Luckily his in laws stepped in at the last moment! Sooo Paul got to run in the 2000 m and took the silver medal!! We couldnt be more proud of him!! Now all I need to do is get my elbow sorted before his next race! lol Below are 2 of my Pop Up Front Card Kits .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

Corella Convention by Vicki Avcin

This morning when I got up and went outside the two yards opposite us were full of Corellas. The most weve seen together here. I counted them as best I could as more were still arriving but I easily counted 100. Corellas are a member of the cockatoo family and are found all over Australia. They are seed eaters and often seen in groups eating the grass seed. They are white with a bright blue area around the eye. They do have a crest although not as pronounced as the yellow crest on the common cockatoos and weve found them to not be as destructive as the common cockatoo although in some areas they are pests. The scientific name for Little Corella, Cacatua sanguinea, means Blood-stained Cockatoo and refers to the dark pink markings between the eye and the bill.Id much rather have 100 Corellas than 100 Cockatoos as they usually just eat the grass seed where the cockatoos will try and destroy things. In Hervey Bay the cockatoos chewed the bird feeders to shreds where the corellas would just sit and pick the grass and seed that we threw down. But it sure was a sight to see so many of the Corellas together this morning.
