Enchanted Garden by Vicki Avcin

Last Monday my daughter, along with her brother and family, daughters partner and partners parents and myself went to a night at the Enchanted Garden at Roma St, Parklands in Brisbane. This is Brisbanes annual immersive light and sound spectacular which returns to share the Parklands nocturnal secrets in a dazzling celebration of nature from 25 November to 21 December 2022This years Enchanted Garden showcases Roma Street Parklands smallest resident – the Eastern Water Dragon.By day, the Dragons guard and protect the park and its visitors. By night, these Guardians of the Park transform into their true magical selves, taking on the colours and characteristics of the parks natural elements: water, trees, rocks and flowers. The Guardians appear as giant holograms, revealing the secrets and stories of The Enchanted Garden as visitors explore the stunning illuminated and immersive experience. The four Guardians then unite in a spectacular Shadow Sculpture in a fitting finaleThroughout the walk (approx 1klm) featured the wonderful giant holograms each with water dragons which appeared at several places and were so brilliant that the first one I really thought there were three water dragons sitting on the rocks. Wasnt until I got to the second one that it actually clicked that they were holograms. The lighting and projections were equally as wonderful. It really was a magical night made even better by wonderful family to do it with. I would like to wish everyone a safe and peaceful Christmas and New Year and Thank you to all the customers that have purchased my designs over the past year.

This weeks designs are two sets of Notelets which are perfect to use for notes/letters or could also be used as greeting cards.

My Daughter by Janice McFarlane

This is my daughter Kayleigh, all ready for a Christmas meal with a couple of her friends at the local village pub. She is the mum of my two grandsons who I frequently write about, and she lives at RAF Benson. I wanted to write about her after she sent me this picture. She is one very busy lady, not just being super mum to the two boys, she is also a busy child minder and in general will help anyone who needs it. This year she has been also helping a lady on camp who has her own mail order sweet shop. A call for help was put on social media as this lady was snowed under with Christmas orders. So, when all the children have been at school my daughter and a friend volunteered to make up the bags and get them packaged up. Even bringing some back home to continue. She has enjoyed doing it and also made a new friend. She also organises Christmas activities for the children and as well as attending school events. I dont know how she manages her day as this is only a small amount of what she does. I know there are many more super mums out there too, but I just wanted to give a shout out to my daughter at this busy time of year.

Oh Billy by Sue Way

Billy has his bed next to me, but mainly uses is as a giant pillow! Around 4am he will sneak up on to our bed and lay full stretch between us. Luckily he gets too hot and gets down before our legs go dead lol the other night as I was getting into bed I found him laying like this, so relaxed. Last few days to get those money wallets made, or how about making one of my festive cutlery wraps for the Chr table.
