A ... by Carol Clarke

... couple of weeks ago this new postbox topper appeared in the next village along to ours. There is a local group who spend lots of their time knitting and crocheting these wonderful scenes. It must take them absolutely ages to complete them and they always make me smile when I see them. These swans are soooo lovely too! Below are 2 of my Christmas Kits .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

The Purr-fect Contortionist by Janice McFarlane

My adorable Ragdoll baby is now 6 years old. I cant tell you how much joy he has brought to the life of me and my husband. Rag dolls are known for their loving nature and Bailey certainly has stayed true to his breed. Each day he has us in stitches with his antics. He is a house cat but we do allow him out the back of our bungalow on an extender leash, but he doesnt stay our for long and prefers to snuggle up on the sofa. Whether he is on the floor, outside, or between the two of us why watching tv, Bailey makes us laugh with wonderment with the unusual way he contorts his body. Sometimes when he is asleep between us we cant work out where his head is as he is an expert. I was able to capture this picture while he was outside and that is probably the simplest contortion. I wouldnt be without him, he is my purr-fect contortionist.

Growing Up. by Vicki Avcin

The four baby plovers we have are growing fast. Almost as big as the parents now and they are finally figuring out they have wings. It is fascinating to see them flapping and actually getting of the ground and flying a few metres. They seem so pleased with themselves so they keep trying. You can see in the picture all four of them with the mother and just how big they are now. We also had another visitor the other day, a curlew. We hear them at night and have seen them a couple of times down the yard but this one in the photo came right up to the house the other day while I was feeding the magpies. Not sure if its a he or a she but it wasnt phased by us and came within two metres of us. They have long legs and about the size of the plover in the body but their legs are much longer than the plovers. Wonder if they have babies somewhere and were looking for food to feed them.

Todays designs are two of my DL size cards.

The RNLI by Janyce Cotterill

I was on holiday recently in a coastal town in Scotland. There is an RNLI station there and they were in training on the weekend of our visit. It was great to watch them and appreciate the amazing work they do whilst remembering the service is manned by volunteers who are called out at a moments notice to rescue those who are having difficulty at sea and at the same time putting their own lives at risk. Amazing people. It was quite poignant too as it was during that week when we heard of the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who was a patron of the RNLI for seventy years. May she RIP. Although I was going to promote my latest designs here I think Ill continue this theme with of the sea and leave you with two water themed designs of mine. Thank you for interest.

Aviano Jets are back in town for deployment.F-16 Vipers are staying at RAF Lakenheath till their runway has been repaired .. Not sure how long they are here for but they give us a lovely show so I am not going to complain.555th FS Triple Nickel from Aviano AFB in Italy they are from, they seem to come to us roughly twice a year ... Also they have been included within the Cobra Warrior Exercise at Waddington so they have been rather busy whilst here..Not sure whats in store for me Friday when I visit

Back to Suffolk! by Sue Way

Last weekend we had a weekend away in Suffolk. This time we stayed in Leiston in a little Airbnb annexe. We had a lovely time, going to dog-friendly pubs for meals and having some lovely walks. Going back to Sizewell beach for the first time without our old Golden Retriever Alfie was a bit emotional, but is brought back some lovely memories and Billy and Sam loved it, so we are making new memories with them. After a run around Sizewell beach, we walked the cliff path, under the spooky bridge that belongs to Sizewell Hall and then we found that the huts from the Africa Adventure Village built as a project by the Christian Centre in 2004 are still there

Our lovely Wisteria by Amanda Assenbruck

Our lovely Wisteria was a bit slow going to flower but now it looks lovely. The smell is just divine and the sound of buzzing bees around the flowers is incredible! The wind and rain is knocking the flowers off a bit but we kind of expect that. This Wisteria is about 8 years old now and is great for shade in the hotter weather, so very versatile. My cards this week are Christmasy again and there are also a selection of my new season Christmas designs on 25% discount.
