Puk-ker Up its Ice Hockey Season by Janice McFarlane

Ive wrote many times before aboutMy 10 year old grandson Alfie who has been playin for Junior Oxford Stars since he was five years old and this season is now signed up to the next level up now which is great. Harry who is five had been itching to get on the ice to follow in his big brothers ice skates so to speak. Now he is five he gets to do exactly that. A few weeks ago he went on the ice for the first time at a family session and kind of walked around pushing a penguin which the rink provides the younger ones. Last week his second time on the ice he went to another family session, he still had Larry the penguin but was now pushing and gliding. He was going so fast his mum had to really skate to keep up with him. Now he has his first ice hockey lesson on Wednesday the 24th and a video my daughter sent of Harry on the ice with a coach, skating on his own and going like a tornado. I am so proud of my two grandsons for their achievements, and especially proud of Harry. Look out Alfie, Harry is hot on your heels.

Into the sun by Tina Fitch

Just look at the gleam on this F-15 StrikeEagle. Taken Tuesday this week. It came in to RAF Lakenheath for a low approach and made a quick turn into the sun , it caught it beautifully and gave it it just a little blue tinge.They are actually bluey in colour but you never really see it up close just the changes in the light made it truly stand out.While we were visiting this week the Dutch F-35s came in too that was great to see. They joined for a 2 day exercise .Thanks for taking the time to read. I have lots of new designs this week too

Ducklings by Amanda Assenbruck

Though it is not quite spring yet we have ducklings. They have grown so much since my last news of them! All the other birds are busy gathering makings for their nests so i have no idea why we had ducklings so early but am enjoying them all the same. Sadly we did lose one to a stray cat which is hanging around at the moment but there are still 14! I have been laid up with the flu but am now back into my designing with new cards coming.

We ... by Carol Clarke

... have had a fantastic British Seaside holiday with our Son, Daughter in Law and our 2 youngest grandchildren ... ohhh and not forgetting their lovely dog Minnie too! lol The weather for once played fair and we got to do all the things we wanted to. Including Fish, chips and ice cream on the pier, paddling in the sea (ohhh blimey was it cold! lol) swimming, walks along the sea front, penny slot machines (not that they are a penny any more!) building sandcastles, more paddling! making sandcastles etc etc etc!! Boy ohh Boy were we shattered every evening but it was lovely to sit out on the wrap around terrace and chill with a nice cool drink every evening too! We all go away together every year and we cant wait for our trip again next year! lol - Below are two of my Cute Girlz Card Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Airshow 2022 by Sue Way

So after 3 years the airshow was back! After a glorious summer, the weather forecast for the first day looked very grim, with a 90% chance of rain and thunderstorms threatened! Luckily we got away with a few showers and it was still warm. the sun even came out. We live a few minutes from the seafront, so can see some of the display from our garden and upstairs window. I managed to get some grainy pictures on my phone of the red arrows. Later there was an evening display with parachutes and a finale of Aerial fireworks. Tomorrow we do it all over again!

Both my son and his family and my daughter and her partner have gone down to the snowfields at Mt Hotham in Victoria this week. My daughter is sending me photos documenting the journey and sent photos from the airport as they were boarding. Daughter and her partner boarded at the front of the plane and son and his family boarded at the rear entrance. While the daughter sent photos as they were going to the plane from the front angle, pretty normal holiday snaps, imagine my surprise when the son sends a photo when he boarded of a huge piece of tape on a cowling saying….. The plane is duct taped! Im sure it is all safe to fly but it looked funny. My response to him was, well they do call it 100 mile an hour tape. His response was but the plane flies at 600 mph so I said to him maybe there is 6 pieces of tape, so all good. Obviously all was Ok because they arrived in Melbourne and are now 5 hrs away up in the ski fields. I really hope they all have a wonderful time because for my son, this trip is to replace the trip they had 3 years ago. It was a couple of months after my son had his accident (fell off a ladder) and fractured his skull and had a bleed on the brain. Drs allowed him to go but he wasnt allowed to do any skiing or snow boarding in case he fell. They went but instead of 7 days of fun in the snow, they only spent two days and then went and stayed in Melbourne for the remainder of the holiday. Will be my daughters first time in the snow but her partner grew up in Vancouver and knows what snow is all about.
