I am now at the RV for the summer . We have a wonderful garden here where we grow ow own veggies. So grateful to be able to stay here close to nature and away from big city life for a couple of months . Due to many wonderful messages from crafters I will continue designing here at cup . Thank you crafters and designers for all your support I also Changed my prices back to minimum as I dont want cards going up as everything else in the world has gone up. blessings

Top Guns by Vicki Avcin

The release of the second Top Gun movie has sure had an impact on people wanting to experience being a fighter jet pilot. We have a group here that does extreme sports, one of which is a flight in a jet plane for 15 or 30 minute flights out of Archerfield airport here in Brisbane. For a hefty price one can take a flight where you experience G forces up to 6.5, barrel rolls or for the less faint hearted just enjoy a flight out over the dam near us. The plane used is a L-39 Albatros which used to belong to the Ukraine Air Force. Normally we may see one during the week and a couple on the weekends but the last couple of weeks its been at least one a day during the week and last Saturday we saw at least 6 runs. They fly just to the south of us but we get an uninterrupted view of them out the front of our house. They barrel roll to one side and then barrel roll to the other which I love watching. We see them further to the southwest climb straight up and then dive back down. The plane is capable of doing aileron rolls, barrel rolls, loops, Cuban-8s and is a 2 seater plane with 360 deg views. Not sure its my cup of tea but watching them is.

Strawberry Alien by Sue Way

Hubby is really getting into gardening now that he is semi-retired. I used to do all the gardening until a few years ago and then he started growing some seeds and he was hooked. He has a little greenhouse and is growing grape vines, blackberries, strawberries and tomatoes. He has even planted a Gogi-berry and a Honey-berry bush, which are growing well and will be interesting if they fruit. I was picking some strawberries the other day and had to laugh at this one as it looks like a little alien strawberry. I was tempted to add some eyes lol

... spotted this lovely Post Box topper for Queens Platinum Jubilee in a local village this week and just had to take a photo of it .... but please excuse my subterfuge as Im being a bit Secret Squirrel as the most exciting thing this week was to do with my eldest granddaughter as together with her Mum, my daughter, and her sister I went wedding dress shopping with her! It was a super wonderful day and it was also her birthday too! I took loads and loads of photos, but of course, Im not allowed to share them! All I can say is shes going to be a beautiful bride. We then had a lovely BBQ which even the un-forecasted wind and rain couldnt spoil! lol Below are 2 of my Floral Carousel Card Kits .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

Marmalade Sandwiches anyone?

One of my latest crochet projects is yet another gnome, a request from a dear friend of mine. Locally now Im known as the gnome lady, not sure whether that is complimentary or not. My friend want a Queen as in Her Majesty as a memento from the jubilee. She wasnt specific so I thought I would surprise her. I knew she loved the Paddington bear sketch the Queen did before the party at the palace concert so thats what I did. Although I didnt make Paddington myself the rest I did. The sandwiches and suitcase were made from clay and the marmalade I made from coloured UV Resin which is my latest thing to have a go at. I thought I would emulate the outfit her majesty wore on her second balcony appearance just before the pageant. My friend was thrilled when I gave it to her.

White Lavender by Anne Lever

My garden is looking gorgeous at the moment and is starting to burst into flower. I have a very small garden, with no beds, so all my plants are in pots. Much watering is involved, but they look beautiful. A recent addition this year is this unusual white lavender. I havent seen one of this variety before (its called Lavendula Edelweiss) and i just had to have it. It smells divine, and the bees love it.
