My Smile group by Gail Collins

Just after Christmas or i started a group to cheer people up , lonely people , sick people, Depressed people, special Birthdays etc and it has been working so well some people might get up to 30 cards , and they love it so much some laugh and some even cry ,some get them out every time they feel down and read them all again .Robert Buckland asked if he could join as he works with and supports lonely people . I was so pleased to see he has shared this to different places that help people , so our members are increasing , I had all but given up card making but this has got me crafting again and a lot of the other members ,so in turn i have started buying from cup again and even started to design again,

these are two of my favourite designs and both could be used for any occasion, one could be for a man and the other for a lady,

Moving on up by Janice McFarlane

My Grandson Alfie played his last Ice Hockey match last Sunday. Not only last of the season, but last playing for Oxford under 9s as he is now the grand old age of 10. So next season he will be moving up to the next junior group, and his little brother who is five will be joking the under 9s to start his ice hockey journey. He is just learning to skate now and doing well, so hopefully by September he will be ready for training. Alfie, was playing away at Basingstoke on Sunday and it was lovely that him and his friend Oscar who will also be moving up, won Spirit of the game. This is awarded for having good ethos and consideration for all players during a match. Im so proud of his achievements so far and look forward to seeing his progress in the next team.

A little trip away! by Sue Way

We havent had a holiday for 3 years, but a few weeks ago we took a little break up to the Suffolk coast and stayed in a caravan for a few days. It was made even better because my daughter Kelly, her hubby and our two granddaughters managed to get booked in as well. They arrived a few hours after us and we were all thrilled to find that their caravan was really close to ours. We had some lovely walks along the beach with the dogs and I wanted to recreate a picture I took of the girls four years earlier when we took them to the same site in our tourer. I got the placement a bit wrong, but it was still fun to compare the two pictures when I got home. It was so lovely and relaxing to finally get away that we have already booked our next trip.

I ... by Carol Clarke

... was walking though a local town this week when I saw another of the Royal Mail Post Box Toppers that the local craft groups decorate. This time it was to show support for the [poor people in the Ukraine, and to empathize with them. Just seeing this certainly made me stop and think and to count my blessings that I was free to do and go where I wanted without fear of and for me and my family!! Below are two of my On the shelf Card Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Rain Rain Go Away by Vicki Avcin

Well La Nina sure is living up to her reputation of more than average rain this year. As it was supposed to have died out by now and May traditionally being a dry monthsomething has gone wrong. La Nina is alive and well and really showing it. We have had rain every day so far in May with a total, to writing this, of 201.9mm of rainwith only about 24 hours in total of sunshine since 1st May and its still raining quite heavily. To say the ground is waterlogged is an understatement! The photo is of our back yard with the rain we had all day yesterday. It started rising just after the last heavy downpour about mid afternoon. The rain eased off about 5pm and within an hourthe majority of the water had gone down but with falls of up to 200mm forecast for the next 48 hours no doubt it will be running a torrent again. The yellow line is where our back fence should be visible.

New kid on the block by Tina Fitch

The boss bird has arrived for the 493rdFSThe new F-35a will stand along with the 495th FS. Only one at the moment for the Reapers Sqaudron but more are on their way. They are very nimble and can come in to land from very high and just drop in Im getting to like their versatility to be honest but for me they will never replace the F-15c but thats my opinion
