A Titanic Monument by Janice McFarlane

On my daughters recent trip to Liverpool she couldnt help but stop by the Titanic story museum. She knew it would be of interest to me as I have for many years been interested in the terrible fateful disaster. At one point I had quite a collection of replica documents, notices, menus etc., as well as books and pictures. I felt as though I had an infinity with the whole event, although to my knowledge no one in my family ancestry was associated with it. It just seemed to heighten my curiosity. Of course Ive also seen every film made and numerous documentaries. On her visit she took a picture of a monument which was dedicated to the marine engineers who were aboard Titanic. It was quite poignant as the week before I had watched a documentary-drama with the which was a different perspective on the story as it was from the point of view from the marine engineers who worked tirelessly and also exuded bravery trying desperately to save the fated ship. Its not usual to get this perspective and the majority lost their lives with only a handful of survivors left to tell their story. I was so touched by the fact that a monument to them in particular was their to serve as a reminder of all that they did.

A week away by Amanda Assenbruck

We were lucky enough to go away for a week before the weather gets too cold. Had booked plenty in advance when Mr 1s birthday party precipitated most of the family getting covid. Luckily enough I was out of quarantine before the week away, alas I then strained my back 5 days before departure! Was a lovely week away though everything was done at a slow pace, at least I had planned a restful vacation not 24/7 activities, lots of walking though as I couldnt sit for too long. Now been 2 weeks since the strain and 4 days home and I can finally sit and craft or be on the computer so some new cards coming soon! Until then Happy Mothers Day on Sunday for those in Aus and NZ.

Escape to the country by Judith Henry

Oh yes. Our favorite daily watch of escape to the country. Life is still laid back with little going on that is exciting. My day begins with a walk, breakfast and a tv episode. Cant travel to England so how better a way to see into the English countryside, business, museums and interesting houses. Besides England weve traveled to France through our television to see the restoration of Norte Dame. Thank goodness that we can enjoy travel daily through virtual travel.

... got to spend a lovely Sunny Sunday with my youngest 2 grandchildren this week. Paul, my youngest son and their dad, was competing in the 1500 meters at Newark and their Mum works on a Sunday. We had a fabby time playing games, eating all the things that are normally not allowed (Oopsy ... Im a naughty Granny!! lol) And then a walk to play in the park too! Even better was the news that Paul had won his race ... sooo it was a fabby day all round!! Below are two of my CU4CU Digital Clip Art Sets ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Sweet Surprise by Vicki Avcin

Our local shopping centre recently had an event on their FB pages for people to put in for a give a way. People had to put their name down and in 25 words or less say why they loved Flagstone. Well hubby is always entering competitions so he put an entry in but didnt tell me. About 2 weeks later he did tell me that hed received notification that a parcel was to be delivered. All hed say was I think I know what it is. Anyway parcel turned up and he gave it to me. Opening it up there was all sorts of goodies in it. A huge lollipop, Toblerone, a big chocolate with all sorts of lollies set in it and a packet of fairy floss. Also in it was a little sachet of bath salts, I guess you go have a nice relaxing bath and pig out on chocolate!! I think Ill be on sweet treat overload for a while.

Happy Birthday Billy! by Sue Way

Our gorgeous Golden Retriever Bily turned 4 this week! Wow, the time has gone so fast. He had a lovely day, he started it by getting covered in mud on the beach as the tide was right out lol Then, later on, he opened his presents. He loves ripping the paper off. He has grown into such a lovely boy, so gentle and loving. Happy Birthday Billy-bubs!

Goslings! by Clare Walker

Yes, I admit it I *love* spring. The flowers, the warmth, the colour. And maybe most of all, the new life it brings. Like the cute little goslings we spotted in a local park yesterday. It looked like it could have been their very first swim around the lake. At any rate, their parents were being very protective, and making all manner of screechy noises at the (larger-and-louder-but-totally-harmless) Canada geese who came to have a look at what was going on.
