Fini Flight by Tina Fitch

Well this was Menaces last flight on Monday.. Flying in F-15c AF 86-175 Air frame.. Went up and played for a couple of hours before he graced us back at RAF Lakenheath. Was very sad really as they wont be around for much longer and Denis the pilot is now off to New Adventures within the USAF.. Probably off to learn how to fly the F-35 Lightning and be posted somewhere else. The weather was grand for the flight, sun was out so nice shots to be had by all.Another couple of weeks and I would think all the F-15cs will be flown elsewhere and then we await the full squadron of F-35s to them remake the 493rd Fighter Squadron the Grim Reapers..

Frogs by Vicki Avcin

Well the weather gave us a reprieve for about a week and then decided to drench us yet again. Brisbane wasnt too bad with only a few roads flooded but further south, just over the border into NSW it unleashed on towns like Byron Bay, Ballina and Lismore (and those in between). Poor Lismore has had 3 major floods now in 4 months. We had steady rain but not to the point of any flooding around here. Now some forecasters are saying a cyclone next week. Hope they are wrong because we certainly dont need more rain! Meanwhile, the frogs around here are loving it. I cannot find the photo of the big fat green frog that likes to sit on our kitchen window sill. But we have others that visit regularly but my favourite is the big green frog that likes to sleep behind a wall plaque on the wall beside the front door. He will pop his head out around 9pm and when I get up around 5am hes sitting on one of the chairs or coming out of the leaf catcher on the gutters, then hell hop across the patio and up onto a chair then waddle up the wall and disappear in behind the plaque. Its almost like he thinks oops Mums up I better get home. Then the other night we had a small one on the kitchen window. Havent seen it before so will be interesting to see if he visits regularly too.

This weeks designs are two gorgeous cards from my Roses and Lace collection. They are multi linked to others of similar design.

Mothers Day by Sue Way

A quiet Mothers Day this year, but I still felt very loved. A lovely phone call from my son and tea and biscuits with my daughter. My daughter gave be a beautiful bunch of roses and some delicious clotted cream fudge and my son sent me a giant bar of chocolate. Its so big that I dont know how I will ever eat it all. Does anyone want to come and help me?

We ... by Carol Clarke

... Have been enjoying some lovely sunny and warm weather here in the Midlands this week. Its really brought out the lovely Spring flowers and even lots of butterflies too! Unfortunately one of my granddaughters and one of my Daughter-in-laws have tested positive for Covid today. Oddly they are both called Stephanie! Because of this, and as my husband is due to go into hospital soon for an operation, we have decided that our Mothers Day get together is now cancelled. Thank goodness for Facetime!! And we all look forward to having a get together once its safe to do so again!! Below are 2 of my Floral Rocking Basket Kits .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

Adorable Ralph by Janice McFarlane

My daughter has recently been helping her friend, who is a profesional dog walker/minder. They have been regularly taking the dogs to a private wooded area in Oxford, designed especially for dog walkers and families. You pay a certain fee when you book a slot. The slot is then yours for the length of time you have booked. My daughter said it is amazing, the dogs have freedom to explore and there is also an agility aparatus area. One of the dogs has just joined the group, his name is Ralph. He is a little overwieght and quite nervous. The first day out he wouldnt get out of the car, so my daughter stayed with him just talking, stroking and reassuring him. He sensed he was safe and ventured out of the car, he obviously felt secure with my daughter and just followed her. He is her new best friend, and so adorable his eyes just melt you heart.

Frank Lloyd Wright Interpretive Center by Judith Henry

Here in my hometown we are proud to have two buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This past week our community college had a class in their life long learning program on the Prairie Style houses in our area. I toured the interpretive center and snapped several 3 dimensional architectural models with the hope that I could figure out how to create a popup card. I continued into the auditorium for two different lectures on the prairie homes in town.

Chrysanthemums by Amanda Assenbruck

My chrysanthemums were quite happy about the all the rain. As you can see they will be a mass of flowers soon. In Australia Mothers Day is celebrated in May. My son gave me these last Mums Day in a small pot. I dont have much of a green thumb but planted them out into this big pot once they had finished flowering indoors. I am quite happy with their progress.
