Happy Valentines Day! by Sue Way

A few years back hubby and me gave each other exactly the same card on Valentines day. It was so funny that we decided that we could never top that, so vowed to give each other the same card every year. Somewhere along the line hubby lost his so had to buy a new one but we continued the tradition anyway. This year we didnt plan on doing anything else but hubby surprised me when I came home from work to these lovely flowers and he made me a delicious dinner.

I ... by Carol Clarke

... went to see and cheer on my youngest granddaughter Olivia last weekend when she was running in the Cross Country inter-County race. There were over 50 girls competing in this race and Olivia was one of the youngest at just 9 years old, but she ran really really well and came 11th!! She didnt qualify for the Nationals but I dont think it will be long before she does!! Her Daddy ( my youngest son) started running when he was 11 and straight away qualified for the Nationals ... he still runs and is ranked 1st in his age group! lol Below are 2 of my 3D Easter Bunny Cracker Gift Favour Box Kits .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

First Love by Janice McFarlane

Well Valentines Day has been and went with cards and flowers adorning mantelpieces or tables. Well there was one little guy who had a beaming smile on his face last Monday. He has a little friend called Elvie who absolutely adores him and tells everyone she is going to marry Harry. Bearing in mind they are four years of age Elvie wanted to claim her man so to speak by sending Harry the cutest Valentines card with an adorable Pug on the front. Harry was thrilled to bits and Im sure it will go into his treasure box. Perhaps to be looked at in the future as a card from his first love.

Valentines Day Roses by Vicki Avcin

14th February is traditionally Valentines Day but for hubby and I it is also the anniversary of our very first date. So this year was our 25th Anniversary and I still remember our first date as if it was last year. His kids and my kids had been hanging out together and bashing round my yard (acerage) in an old car one of their friends had when one of them ran into a dividing fence between ours and the neighbours place. One of his kids said that his Dad worked at a wire place and would get the wire for fixing the fence. Sure enough his Dad came round with the wire to fix the fence and that was the first time Id met his Dad. His Dad then came round a couple of other times to fix various little things around the house for me and we always spent hours talking. Seems our paths had crossed a few times over the years without us even knowing or knowing who each other was. It was one of the kids friends birthdays and they decided that all the mates would come round and have a bit of a party at our place and it was agreed that hubby and I would be the chaperones for the night. So that turned into our very first date that night. After that we were inseparable and a couple of years later we were married. Hubby isnt a big romantic and so when he gave me these roses for Valentines Day they were also an anniversary gift. I want to keep them alive because itll probably be another 25 years till I get another lot now!!
