The 493rd Fighter Squadron. newly Painted Heritage Jet.The Reapers have dominated the air for 45 years undefeated in European Theatre.. They will soon be on their way to another climate to live and work as RAF Lakenheath has now a new Fighter Squadron The Valkyries 495th FS of F35As..As we look forward to watching the last couple of flights from the Reapers it wont be long now before the unresticted climbs of Fridays become a distant memory.. I will so miss them but they will go work at another Airforce base to save the world.

Love Rat by Janice McFarlane

Among my many to do Easter crochet projects of which I have a mountain of patterns piled up, trying to get some stock for my local Easter craft fair in April, I managed to get a few Valentines items done. I had made a couple of gonks and thought I would crochet this adorable rat, whom I called Ricky the Love Rat (but in the nicest possible way). The original pattern was for a mouse size and didnt have feet, arms or tail. they were just embroidered on, so, I increased the size and I needle felted the appendages. I also added further detail by brushing the head and body to give a fur effect. I make my own noses so added a cute pink nose and whiskers. Once fully finished I really didnt want to part with him, but as I make these to sell, needs must. No sooner had I advertised him, he sold. I think I will have to do some more when I find the time, as I didnt realise how many people were big fans of rats and mice lol.

For Christmas my husband got a hydroponic starter kit. He ordered hi herbs and started three pods. Weve been patiently waiting for signs of growth. Today he could take off the covers since we could definitely see green. It took a while before there was any sign of germination. Wish the grandkids could experience this. It was a present from them. Will definitely be sending them this picture.

Every evening I sit at my pc after dinner and catch up on social media, emails and CUP of course lol. My pc is set up at one end of the old garage as an office, with the other end as a utility room.Billy and Sam always follow me out and have a little snooze usually under my feet, but sometimes just watching me until they fall asleep. ... Have had some lovely winters days this week with lots of sunshine, frost and ice. These make such lovely walking days. We have had to wrap up nice and warm though and end up looking like were making an expedition to the North Pole! lol As I have Raynauds, which is also known as Vibration White finger, I have to take special care to make sure my hands and feet are warm, so I have my 2 pairs of thermal socks plus Ninja Gloves! lol So called as they have batteries and warm up, and to let you know they are on have a light up N on the front! lol They keep me nice and toasty warm! lol Below are two of my CU4CU Digital Clip Art Sets and these would be just great for Mothers Day! ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Summer extremes by Joan King

I expect a number of you may have heard the sad news that the people of Tonga in the Pacific had an erupting volcano last week. It has devastated a lot of the islands and one completely and there is only a small part of it left it seems. Due to their lack of being able to communicate as much was destroyed things are only now starting to come out. It was largest behind Pinotubo some years ago and it had Tsunami effects around the world and a large shock wave that was felt around the world as well. It affected our weather (summer at the moment) with high temperatures in the 30s for us and we got an amazing sunset which they believe carried a lot of the ash making it so vibrant so I have attached a photograph of where we live so you can see it. You wouldnt believe it unless you saw it. Its settling now though and we have just had our first bit of rain for a few months (38mm). Not a lot but most welcome.I am showcasing two of my latest baby designs and there are another two made for a different ethnicity. I hope you like them. All Grown up now! by Vicki Avcin

Last weekend we celebrated our granddaughters transition into Adulthood. Our gorgeous Chloe turned 18. Celebration was at Southbank in The Beer Garden (yes thats the name of the place not a section of the pub) with family and her boyfriend and a few friends. Because of Covid it meant the gathering was small but none the less it was a great night with delicious food and a few drinks and good company. We gave her a pretty bracelet with silver hearts and garnet hearts, garnets being her birthstone which she loved. It doesnt seem 18 years since we saw her mums belly bump! But shes grown into such a beautiful young woman now. She graduated from high school last December so the hunt for a job is now on.

The Hares Pt 2 by Amanda Assenbruck

So last week I had a pic of one of our Hares. I have been diligently watching for them of an afternoon. Yesterday i was out with my camera and saw 4 of them together frolicking! Unfortunately by the time i brought my camera up two had left, the other 2 played statues as i quietly crept forward for a closer shot. Well for a while anyway but certainly closer than last weeks.My card is Valentine themed and the second one with oozing caramel is pending, with slightly different wording. Looks good enough to eat lol. Some other yummy Valentine cards coming soon.
