All grown up by Tina Fitch

Well look at him! All grown up..The left picture is him as the baby of the litter now his the most beautiful fox dog ... I havent seen the babies since beginning of December I have no idea where they went or what they did for food, considering I was feeding them regular daily and they would wait for the food too just sitting at the bottom of my garden. He went away a baby and very light in colour now he is very colourful and grown into a adult fox.The mating season is upon us so they are traveling in pairs at the moment so most have their mates.. I am presuming that all the babies are now matched with their mates for this season... God only knows how many babies I will have to feed once born but I am really excited to see if any of last years bring their families to see me..

Sammy the Seal! by Sue Way

Last Friday it was a really sunny winters day here. We had such a lovely relaxing walk on the beach with the dogs. We even took our hats and gloves off and loosened our coats. The dogs had a brilliant time in the sea, which was really calm. Little Sam even swam for the first time. Hubby and me were standing there cheering him on like proud parents on sports day lol He loves the water and isnt a bit scared, so we have nicknamed him Sammy the Seal.

Our Hare by Amanda Assenbruck

We have a rather large buck hare living here who we saw very occasionally. The last few weeks I have seen him out in the late afternoon fairly often. I think they are very funny the way they walk rather than hop and the very aristocratic face/muzzle on him.It is only recently we have seen Mrs Hare and have seen them frolicking about quite a few times this week. This week i have been trying to capture them with the camera but they are very shy, however I did manage to get this pic of Mrs Hare pretty much on full zoom. As promised the Hearts and Roses cards are now in 3 colours and 4 designs.

My ... by Carol Clarke

... Youngest granddaughter, Olivia aged 8) has won her first medal! And not only that, but its a gold medal too! Olivia has been running now for about a year or so and has only run in a couple of competitions and this week she ran in the Nottinghamshire one. She was a part of the team that took the gold medal in the cross country. This makes her a County Champion. just like her Dad, my son! He won his when he was a little older than Olivia. He was 11 and won the 400 meters and went on to represent Notts at a number of meetings. He still runs too .... and has won that many medals, trophies and cups that I struggle to remember them all! lol Below are 2 of my Rubber Band Pop Up Box Cards .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

Head in the clouds by Janice McFarlane

Cloud formation never ceases to amaze me. It can change within minutes and form the most beautiful pictures especially when contrasted against a colourful sky as if someone has swept across with a paintbrush. These clouds formed the other day over where I live. Ive never seen anything quite like it and immediately noticeable is the feather formed from a cloud framed by a fluffy blanket of other clouds. To me it looked so precise and as though it had been carefully placed to float there, so delicate, perfect and quite beautiful.

Peekaboo by Vicki Avcin

Wednesday last week Hubby was out on the front patio when he called me to come quick and bring the camera. I asked why and he said there was an exotic bird on the roof gutter. I went out and there was a gorgeous little parrot hanging over the edge looking at us. I spoke to it and it came straight down and landed on my head! It then climbed down onto my shoulder and just sat there. I said to hubby that it had to be someones pet as it was so tame so brought it inside. We had some nectarines in the fridge so got one out and it sat happily on my hand munching away while hubby got our big cat carrier (size of a small aviary) and it went into that easily. At first I thought it was a Ringneck so I put posts up on all the community pages that wed found the parrot. I was told it wasnt a Ring neck but it was an Alexandrine Parrot (parakeet). One post someone had lost an Alexandrine so I contacted them and they came to look but it wasnt their parrot that had been lost 2 weeks earlier. He was saying it was definitely someones pet as it was so tame and filled us in on what they eat etc. He was saying they bond very strongly to a person and can live for 30 years. We contacted someone else whod also lost one but wasnt theirs either. During the time we had him (definitely a male) he started speaking and besides a hello his favourite word was Peekaboo. He was also good at doing blips like a phone getting a message. Took us a couple of hours of picking our phones up to realise it was the bird!! He was very tame and seemed to take to me more than hubby as when I was cleaning the cage it would come out and sit on my arm. We couldnt keep him which was sad as wed probably got a little more attached that we wanted to but a friends neighbour has and breeds exotic birds and took him off our hands. Should the owner come forward we know where he is but hes better in a huge big aviary than a small one. So glad he wasnt left to fend in the wild as he wouldnt survive. They are not native to Australia so wouldve been no mate for him and left him open to predatory birds and animals.
