Covid by Judy Potts

The 1 thing everyone talks about but most people dont want to talk about. As it would start a debate. Ive heard both sides, and Im kind of on the fence. My boyfriend was just in the hospital with Covid and he almost died. He has a compromromised immune system so I know that did not help, but it made me want to be more careful, sanitize more often, and worry about the places I go to see my kids and who they are around and etc.

These cards are very versatile and dont just have to get well cards, they can be used for a birthday or valentines day or anniversary or anything, just change the label!

Best Buddies by Janice McFarlane

My youngest grandson Harry and their family dog Roxy have always had a special relationship. Roxy is a Staffordshire Terrier and although they usually do get a lot of bad press Roxy is proof that their nature is otherwise. She is a most loving family dog, gentle in nature. She is getting old now she is 12 years old but behaves like a puppy. She loves going on long walks and runs around with other dogs she is friendly with. She is Harrys playmate, shes been dressed up in all sorts by Harry from super hero when he has wanted to play that to wearing a fuzzy wig to look like a lion. She takes it all in her stride and loves it. She loves her cuddles too and Harry dishes plenty of them out to her. They are most definitely Best Buddies.

Happy Half Birthday Sam! by Sue Way

This week Sam turned 6 months! Our puppy is growing so fast. He is still a calm sweet little boy but has started to push boundaries a little bit. He soon backs down when he knows we are not happy though, bless him. Billy is getting better at playing with him now, which gives us a bit of a break when he gets his after dinner energy in the evening lol We had trouble getting this monthly picture as he wanted to look out of the window at the birds, which is one of his favourite pastimes. I love the way Billy is posing at the front.

We ... by Carol Clarke

... had a fabulous Christmas, but the best bit was getting to see all my children together for the first time in two years! It sooo made my Christmas to have all the family together at the same time ... even if we did have to endure the horrid covid tests to make sure none of us was infectious! Below are 2 of my 3D Valentine Treat Box Mini Kits .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

Christmas Story by Vicki Avcin

Well it was so good to be able to finally spend Christmas with the family after 15 years. But because of the virus we decided to do some family on Christmas Day and some on Boxing Day due to some peoples work requirements. Unfortunately one family couldnt be with us so we will do a lunch in the next couple of weeks. My sons housemate found out early Christmas morning that his boss had tested positive which meant the whole household had to isolate. Bens first test was negative on the Tuesday but the whole household wasnt well so until the family got their first test and Ben got his second test they couldnt go anywhere and all needed a negative test, which fortunately all tests were negative now. Best Christmas gift ever I guess. We had lunch each day with the families and exchanged gifts. I absolutely loved putting up a Christmas Tree and decorating it and even made a centrepiece for the table. Our Christmas decorations have been in storage tubs for many many years and surprisingly they were all still in good order. A wreath on the front door that the kids made over 20 years ago I added a couple more baubles to it and a Merry Christmas hanger also about 20 years old! Some things just never go out of fashion.

Cotton Fields In Texas by Silvia Griffin

We took a road trip from New Orleans to Las Vegas and discovered miles and miles of cotton fields.Which prompted me to do some research on Cotton crowing.Cotton production is an important economic factor in the United States as the country leads, worldwide, in cotton exportation. The United States is ranked third in production behind China and India. Almost all of the cotton fiber growth and production occurs in southern and western states, dominated by Texas, California, Arizona, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana. More than 99 percent of the cotton grown in the US is of the Upland variety, with the rest being American Pima. Cotton production is a $25 billion-per-year industry in the United States, employing over 200,000 people in total, as against growth of forty billion pounds a year from 77 million acres of land covering more than eighty countries. The final estimate of U.S. cotton production in 2012 was 17.31 million bales, with the corresponding figures for China and India being 35 million and 26.5 million bales, respectively. We drove through Texas and saw cotton bails all over.

Lightning and the Hare! by Tina Fitch

This Wednesday I visited RAF Lakenheath for the first time this year. The new F35As are now flying daily sorties to get used to the training and such like. They are pilots not used to lakenheaths way of life. They are new to the country just like the F35s. Anyway I caught one taxing out to take off and if you look bottom left if the photo there is a hare running along side the aircraft! It really tickled me that such a small thing could give that stunning new airframe a run for its money I didnt see it at the time of shooting it was only when I got home to edit I noticed. It really did make me chuckle.
