Little and Extra Large by Janice McFarlane

Last weekend my eldest daughter and my to grandchildren, went to visit my younger daughter for the day at RAF Benson. As sisters they are close but due to distance, my eldest lives near me in Nottinghamshire they dont get to see each other often. Its also nice for the children to get together too. Jack, who is 13 and his sister Evie who is 9, then there is Alfie who is 9 and Harry who is 4. They all get on really well together and when my daughter Kayleigh sent me the picture of Jack and Harry side by side I had to laugh. Jack looked like a giant in comparison to Harry who is normal size for a 4 year old. Jack, however, is exceptionally tall for his age and takes after his mum who is tall. I just thought it was amusing to see them both together.

Petting Farm by Sue Way

We took the pups to a private dog park a couple of times last week. There are more of them opening up now and they are a great idea. You book 60 or 30 minutes for the sole use of a secure field. You can let your dogs run around knowing they cant escape or meet any unfriendly dogs. The fun part of this one is that it is attached to a petting farm. So Billy and Sam got to meet alpacas and sheep through the fence. The alpacas looked like babies and were very curious, the boys were a bit unsure of them, but Billy really wanted the sheep to play with him.

I ... by Carol Clarke

... Saw these Fabulous fungi this week on one of my many walks. Ive got no idea what sort of fungi they are but they were quite large and one of them was very tall! I always enjoy my walks and it constantly amazes me that even though I walk a minimum of 8 miles a day I constantly find new things Ive never seen or noticed before!! Below are 2 of my 3D Shaped Rocking Christmas Card Mini Kits .... theres lots more to choose from too! lol

The Big 60 by Vicki Avcin

Hubbys birthday is on Remembrance Day….. so its hard to not forget. This year he hit the Big 60 and for the first time in over 20 years he got to celebrate once again with family. I organised a BBQ with just our kids and grandkids and although his son and family in Townsville couldnt be here, the rest of our kids and grandkids (except for 2 grandkids) were able to be here and help him celebrate. I organised a cake with the figures 6 and 0 and the centres were filled with chocolates, one chocolate cake and one vanilla cake. The bakery did a great job with it but we had enough left over to give some of each to the neighbours and still had some left over. A good excuse to eat just cake for lunch for the next couple of days too!! It was a great night and even better that most of the family were with us this year. We really have missed birthdays and anniversaries, Christmas and all the other celebratory occasions so really enjoying our family times again now.

Christmas Cactus blooming for

Thanksgiving by Judith Henry

Last year she bloomed for Halloween and Easter. This year we have many blooms in time for Thanksgiving. I think I found the perfect window for the summer months. This is a 30 year old plant and I though this year would be the last. Each Christmas I would purchase another and plant it with the old. Every year the new one would die out. I stopped buying last year and moved it. Liked being with people. New branches is producing lots of buds.

Fuel leak by Tina Fitch

Caught nicely f15 with a fuel leak as he took off.. The maintainer was walking back to his hut Caught both nicely. This happens when they need to dump the overfilled fuel tank. Normally it happens once airborne but this was just on launch and pretty impressive! You can see the burners too which is a nice catch. If he was any closer I recon hed be really sweating lol. Hot stuff I say and a job well done
