Van Gogh Exhibition by Carol Dunne

Last week we went to the Van Gogh exhibition in Manchester. If this exhibition tours near you it is a must to visit. Unlike any other exhibition. The paintings are projected onto huge screens around the rooms and are constantly changing. I found myself in a room full of sunflowers - fantastic. This photo is of me and my husband sitting in Vincents room. A great day out and a very different way to show works of art.

Two of my latest designs for you to look at.

it .... by Carol Clarke

... was my husband, Terrys, 75th Birthday this week and he chose to go to Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire for a country walk and birdwatching around the lakes. We had a lovely time and took a picnic and were soo lucky that we were sat at the side of a pond eating our lunch when we had a short shower .... wed been sitting under a rather large tree and the only reason we knew it was raining was because of the rain on the pond! lol We then climbed back up to the hall and had a lovely hot chocolate in the stable yard cafe! Below are 2 of my 3D Top Drawer Christmas Cards Bumper Kits. These are great to make as sellers at Christmas Fayres and Bazars etc, and the cards are a fabby size for children to send to their friends too! ... and .... theres 18 more to choose from too! lol

Painting at Gnome! by Janice McFarlane

I cant believe how quick this year has gone by. Christmas is just around the corner and as crafters and designers we are full swing into the festive season and probably have been for some time. With Nordic gnomes still at the top of the pops do to speak, my daughter asked if I could possibly do a painting of a gnome as a Christmas present for her friend who is absolutely mad about them. Indeed, in the past I have crocheted her a couple of gnomes, the last one being a Viking as she is also mad about the tv drama Vikings. I am very much a novice at painting pictures on canvas with acrylics but those yo the challenge. I have watched a few artists on YouTube whose style I like and have been an inspiration for the picture I finally painted. My daughter wanted the gnome to be holding a wooden sign which will eventually have her friends family name and Gnome Sweet Gnome. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, and pleased with the way he came out. My daughter loves it and Is so excited to give it to her friend.

Another milestone! by Sue Way

This week Sam turned 4 months old! The time is going so fast and his legs are growing even faster! lol He looks huge in my arms, but I am quite small. When he is curled up in his bed, he still looks like a tiny puppy. He is getting his own little character now. When we take him for a walk he likes to hold a glove in his mouth, which is great for us as it means he cant pick up anything he shouldnt. I love watching him grow and change every day, just like I did with Billy. I hope you are enjoying watching him grow too.

Week End in Des Moines

Botanical Gardens

by Judith Henry

Had a granddaughter week end full of fun and games. We even did something educational. I have lived in Iowa for most of my life and have never been to the Botanical Garden. It was a cold week end but the glass bubble trapped all the warm humid are making it a delightful experience. We saw so many different plants. Even did an outdoors part and tried to get a photo of the reflection of the girls.
