Speckled Wood Butterfly by Janyce Cotterill

So as we head into autumn here in the UK this is a last look back at a butterfly that recently appeared in the garden. The Speckled Wood Butterfly sunning itself in the final rays of the summer sun. In recent years this species of butterfly has increased by 84%, experts think it is due to the changing climate. So a slight positive spin on all the negatives we hear and read about in the media concerning our changing weather patterns. Hurrah! Im leaving you with two out of my four most recent verses and designs all focused on Christmas, as we speed towards the end of this year! I chose a white background for these approx 7 x 5 card front sheets and matching inserts to save you on a little bit of ink - every little helps, as the saying goes! Thank you for your interest.

Waiting Patiently by Tina Fitch

Oh Just look at him! The fox dog waiting patiently for his breakfast..Every Morning this happens and I am very thankful that I have them visit me. He normally sits there till I actually take the food out then he moves back so I cant really see him, He and the cubs hide behind the bushes until the food is out then gingerly make their way down to feast. If the sun is out you can see them laying in the sun on the bank just waiting, But once I open my door the movement starts as they still are a little wary of me I think, even though I feed them daily. But I suppose they are wild and wild animals are meant to stay wild.. Their coats are very thick now and their tails are so busy LOL But then they are being looked after properly haahhaThe Fox Dog I really like him he looks at me with so much thanks for his food, You can see it in his eyes how grateful they are.. And I am so grateful they visit me .

A garden visitor by Amanda Assenbruck

I was out taking pics of our grevillia flowering, they are quite happy as we had plenty of winter rain and a bit of follow uprain so far this spring. After taking my pics i was walking around the garden pulling up a specific weed that is quite a nuisance, wehad spent the long weekend going around the property pulling them up but had obviously missed a few. Then my juvenile butcher bird landed in this tree with the sky behind her and not too many leaves on the tree yet. This was the bird i had been handfeeding mice over the winter during our infestation, so she was happy to sit and talk and of course i actually had my camera on me!My pics are a few of my 50s sheets.

The diner is a brand new edition hope you like it!

just ... by Carol Clarke

... Hanging Around!! We recently took our two youngest grandchildren to Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire for a day out. Both Olivia and Austin loved challenging themselves to climb, hang, swing, hug and anything else they could think of on the many lovely trees in the park! Olivia particularly loved trying to imitate a sloth, although she tended to fall off in a very unsloth like way! lol Below are two of my 3D Halloween Diorama Shadow Box Card Mini Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Blowing His Own Trumpet

by Janice McFarlane

At the school where my grandson Alfie attends, once in year 5 each child is given the opportunity to try out a brass instrument. They dont get to choose which one, they are just issued one. My daughter was hoping against hope Alfie would be given a cornet and not something like a trombone. Alfie was finally issued with his instrument and thankfully it was a cornet. He appeared to be able to blow some sound from it which sounded more like an elephant in distress from the video she sent me. Oh the joy was her comment. Not only that but as a child minder who has another eight children to look after, said that there were two other children who were also in year 5 with their brass instruments stood in her garden making a racket. Then she said to make matters worse, Alfies friend who only lives over the road decided to come and join in with his issued trombone. I did suggest My daughter invest in a decent pair of ear defenders for the duration of this so called musical period.

Sea! by Sue Way

Every day when we go to the beach Billy tries so hard to get Sam to play in the sea with him. But Sam is so little and the sea is so big, that its a bit scary for a little pup. Also there are so many other exciting things to discover. But today the sea was calm and Sam was brave! We had a wet puppy and a very happy Billy. They are going to have so much fun together.

Stormy Weather by Vicki Avcin

Since we have moved weve had several storms which to have them so frequently is exciting. Although severe storms have been forecast they havent been too bad yet. For two mornings in a row weve been woken at 3am or there about with thunder and lightning. Last night hubby said we had some small hail (I slept through it!) followed up with a lot of rain and weve just had another storm pass over us with heavy rain. Since weve been here, in the week weve had the rain guage set up, we have had a total of over 90mm which has been fantastic. It makes a big difference to being in Hervey Bay where we wait weeks for rain usually watching storms/rain go round us and the area is still drought declared with severe deficiency rainfall. How I wish I could somehow send some of it up there. We have to have some earthworks done at the front of the house as the front verandah has been flooded several times now. As there was no carport here weve had to put up a temporary cover for the car in case we do get any serious hail. I think the poor girl (car) isnt used to all this rain because she didn't want to start after a couple of the downpours and shes getting wet feet being parked where she is. But definitely not complaining it sure is awesome getting all this wet weather now and to think the wet season hasnt even started yet!!
