Moonlighting by Janice McFarlane

I often love to look at the sky during the day and at night. I love to see the cloud formations and see what pictures I can make out. I love the colours of the sun setting with such a different array and ombré. I often think some one has been out with an ethereal paintbrush and swept it across the evening sky to perfection. In contrast the night sky can be just as beautiful, sometimes on a clear night all the stars are seen in their various formation and equally the moon has its moments taking on different guises. On Thursday the moon was particularly beautiful over our village. It exuded a bright aura of light. In the night air it was quite breathtaking.

12 weeks Old by Sue Way

Sam is 12 weeks old today! He has had his second jab and will finally be allowed out for little walks next week. We still take him out every day in his pram, but he is getting very frustrated with it now. He can see Billy running around and so wants to join in the fun. Not long now little one. Here he is waiting for a lick of the yoghurt pot. They learn some things quicker than others lol

Birthdays by Vicki Avcin

Loving being close to family and able to see them on their birthdays now. My son had his birthday on the 17th and although we came down for his 40th birthday party a couple of years ago, we havent had the chance to spend many birthdays with him over the past 20 yrs so it was so good to be actually able to spend time with him again. Grandsons birthday was a couple of days before my sons and this is the first year we have been able to celebrate with him and he was 6….. Super 6… and able to attend his Spiderman party on the weekend. First birthday with him ever! Of course parties mean seeing all the family for the celebrations too and we are so happy to be spending so much time with them all now. My daughter commented the other day that weve seen each other more in the last 3 weeks than we have in the last 4 years! Many more good times to be had now.

My designs this week are two of my recent uploads, both pretty florals, one for Christmas and the other for multi occasions.

Eagles Nest by Tina Fitch

Now Autumn is here night flying is the key..Last nights eagles nest was buzzing.... Up till 7.30pm they were hot pitting meaning taking off landing refueling and re launching..I just love it when they do that.. As you can see there are 4 all lined up to be checked before launching, which is what they always do.. then sometimes they wait till others are checked before there is a mass launch....I love the night flying but then I think to myself winter is on its way and its getting colder now and the nights are drawing in.. You can definitely feel the chill now coming in the air..Oh well thats September nearly done onwards and upwards

Beautiful Sunflowers by Anne Lever

It is my first proper attempt at serious gardening this year. One of my firsts, is growing sunflowers. All of these beauties came from the same seed packet, and they have ended up differing shades of red, orange and yellow. I couldnt measure how tall they got, as they got too tall, but they were level with the bottom of the upstairs bedroom window! There were three plants, and each one had around seven flowers on them. They eventually got too heavy for them to stand upright, so i cut them and will enjoy them for a while longer in my front room x

2 Weeks spent dinosaur hunting!

by Amanda Assenbruck

We have been on the move (literally) for the last 3 weeks. Queensland is a big state. The first two weeks were spent following the dinosaur trail here. There have been so many astonishing discoveries since we took our kids over 20 years ago! There were so many new displays and ongoing digs. (We were told there was a backlog of up to 20 years work in each lab, just on the ones that have been excavated up to now. They work on them generally in chronological order of when they were found unless something pretty special turns up and gets put the front of the queue which had happened on one of our tours.) My grandson thinks im a bit dim sometimes because i dont know all the new names of the dinosaurs and refer to them as what we were taught in school, so Nanny has to brush up a bit lol. My pic is a Plesiosaur aka Richmond Polycotylid.
