Zootropolis by Janice McFarlane

Continuing our stay at my daughters for the month of August we took a day trip to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park near the beautiful town of Burford. What I liked about this place was it was all about the animals, and not a theme park with lots of rides. It had a small play area which the kids loved. Although it wasnt a completely sunny day, we had a few light showers it didnt deter from the day at all. We liked how well set out it was, and how close we could get to the animals. The pictures we took really dont do justice to how close we could get. The kids enjoyed themselves, a funny moment was when my grandson Alfie was doing a walk through with Lemurs and one pooped on his head. So in the gift shop we bought him a soft toy Lemur to remind him of that special moment.

Our Pretty Face Wallabies have returned! by Amanda Assenbruck

I was so pleased last night when my husband pointed out to me that our Pretty Face Wallabies have returned. We used to have quite a few families but with droughts and cars over the past few years they had virtually disappeared. A pair has now turned up, they know they are safe on our property though these were a bit skittish. This photo was taken quite a while ago. i am hoping to see a baby come spring. My cards are two recently uploaded cards, I quite like them. hope you do too.

Laughing! by Tina Fitch

I had to laugh at this shot! Just look at the cubs face in the right hand corner of the photo.. He looks really scared hahhahahaDad came down today for the snacks .. I had already fed the cubs he always lets them eat first then comes down after they have eaten..So once they had eaten he makes his way down the bank for his share.. I threw some more over as I knew the cubs had eaten the ones I put down.. The dad came down to search for what Id thrown over the fence and the little cub of all of them followed him down and as you can see Dad wasnt happy with that! Knowing cub had eaten but he wanted to share Dads too LOL..He soon put a stop to that as you can see by his face.. There was no noise just the opening of the mouth and the cub looked terrified. I almost felt sorry for the little one but I knew he was in the wrong he had already eaten..Poor Dad LOL

Dog Sitting by Judith Henry

Not only have we been staying with our granddaughters while Mom and Dad take time away with friends. We have also been watching our childrens animals. Last week end it was Ellas turn to tire Grammy and Papa out. She is a very active dog and luckily the yard has an invisible fence around three yards. Ella runs and has been trained to know the boundaries. It tires her out and when she comes in after her run she is very peaceful and fun to be with.

W3e ... by Carol Clarke

... have just got back from a lovely time away at the seaside with our youngest son and family. We had a fantastic time away at a small town south of Cleethorpes. It was near enough to take a nice long day hike along the coastal path to sample the fish & chips, doughnuts and ice creams though! lol My husband, Terry, is infamous for not taking off his shoes and socks ... and never goes paddling .... but our youngest granddaughter who is 8 pestered and persuaded him constantly whilst we were there and eventually on the morning we were leaving he capitulated and joined in the fun! lol I just had to have photographic proof of this miracle though! lol Below are two of my3D on the Shelf Everlasting Calendar Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Back Soon by Jackie Bullock

To all my designers,I hope to be back up and running before ChristmasJust got home after finishing my last cemo session, just one more visit to Hereford hospital for CT Scan and 2 more visits to Cheltenham General Hospital for Anesthetic-Pre admission, then for the actual Op. Then rest up so that I will be able to put the Christmas Fairy on the best-est ever Christmas Tree we`ve ever had, I promised my Grandchildren I would back in the beginning of 2021, all you Grand parents out there know you don`t break your promise to your Grandchildren.Thank you to all consultants and McMillan nurses who have expertly and kindly looked after me for the last 9mths, and of course especially to my family who have kept me going on the bad days {Believe me there were quite a few of those} and most of all my great big bear of a husband who guided me through after going through Lymphatic Leukemia only 12mths before me. Thank you sweetheart I know how difficult it has been for youJackie

Fossil Hunters! by Sue Way

Last weekend we had our grandaughters for a sleepover. It was so lovely to finally feel like we were back to normal and doing things we used to do with them. On the first morning, we went fossil hunting at a nearby beach. We were a bit distracted as we took Billy with us, but we still had a lovely time. We found a few bits, but no sharks teeth, unfortunately. After lunch, we had a walk along the seafront for ice cream and a play on the swings. What a lovely weekend!
