SURFING FUN !! by Julie McGregor

I went to wales my homeland ! with my son and grandson, my grandson had a surfing lesson, on Aberavon beach, he was brilliant at it, and loved every minute of it ! To would say he was hooked, would be an under statement ! Just a shame we dont live closer to the coast. He lives in Falkirk it would be over 100miles round trip to get to the nearest beach that is suitable for surfing, so he will not be able to go often . Still when he goes to Wales I know where he will be spending his time !

My daughter planned her wedding in spring 2020, unfortunately it was cancelled a few times because of COVID restrictions but finally she could go ahead with her plans and got married last week. Apart from a few rain showers it was a beautiful wedding, well worth waiting for. Everything went as well as it could. Nice to see so many members of the family and friends after we have all been cooped up.

For those crafters who want to start their calendars early here are my first ones for 2022. More to come.

Picked up new camera this week and took this just 5 minutes of it being out of the box. Meet Dolly my pomapoo dog running towards me when she noticed I was there. Shes always so full of fun and greets me when ever I come into her sight after being missing even for a few moments..I just love how the lens has caught her at the right moment. I have tried many times to get a shot like this but not always is Dolly willing. I dont think she realised I had the camera before starting her run towards me. Still I got the shot thats all that matters.

Hervey Bay is the Whale Watching capital in Australia, know as that because from late July to September the humpback whales come and rest in the waters around Fraser Island on their migration from the warm tropical waters where they have their calves on the way back to the colder waters down south. During this time the celebration of the whales being here, there is a lot of whale watching boats that go out daily, in fact most boats say if you dont see a whale then they will take you out again, but that rarely happens as most days visitors will see several pods as they breech and spy hop the boats. So even Mother Nature celebrates with this spectacular photo of a whale cloud taken this week. How perfect a cloud is that?

... Rather big Birthday!! My Mum has reached the ripe old age of 90 this week! But as shes in a Care Home we werent able to have a nice big party to match her age. So instead we had a succession of friends and family visiting her throughout the day to make sure she enjoyed her birthday and felt it had been marked as a really special occasion! Below are two of my Animated Large Wobble Head Card Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Down by the Riverside by Janice McFarlane

Still at my daughters at RAF Benson we took a day trip out to the beautiful and popular location of Henley on Thames. Famed for its annual Regatta and boat race between Oxford and Cambridge. Thankfully we went the week before the regatta, and whilst it would have been lovely to see we thought it would just be to over crowded. On out day out with the grandchildren we had a lovely walk along the main shopping street, browsing through the windows of the little boutique shops. Stopping off for the biggest jam donuts Ive ever seen in the market place, having a peek and gasping at the house prices in the estate agents window, then down to the riverside for a picnic and then Alfie and Harry could play in the play area. Whilst they did that, my husband and I quite happily sat on a bench and watched the boats and people go by. All in all a lovely day out.

If I fits I sits ..... by Sue Way

We were having a little clear out and I decided to wash all Billys puppy beds. I put them on the floor and he decided her could still fit into them, as long as he had a bit of his body in each one lol I cant believe he used to fit into them. I also washed four different sized harnesses as he grew out of them so quickly. He does make us laugh every day.

Resurrection Lilies by Judith Henry

You know its summer/August when the resurrection lilies rise from the grown from their slender stalks. No leave show since the come up in spring and then die out. This is why they seem to bloom in the most unlikely place. Either that or we forget where they have been planted. They are a perennial bulb in the Amaryllis family.
