We ... by Carol Clarke

... had a lovely sunny Friday evening visit to Newstead Abbey this week to watch the Newstead Abbey Dash. This is a 5k race in the lovely grounds and lanes around the Abbey. And to make a lovely evening even better the overall winner of the race was our youngest son Paul! His finishing time was just 15 minutes 20 seconds, 17 seconds in front of the runner in 2nd place! Thats twice hes won a race in under 2 weeks! Below are two of my 3D Shaped No-Hole Fold Back Christmas Card Mini Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Cubs by Tina Fitch

Well the cubs still visit daily but they are growing so fast! They are nearly the same size as Dad now its really surprising how fast they do grow... This is the second smallest Cub, a bit dominant he is I think as the smallest of them all follows this one around but when he gets food he runs and doesnt share.I find they argue a lot over food, I didnt realize they fought so much amoungst themselves for the food... I always put plenty down and they always clear the lot..I suppose they are like Dogs never have enough to eat, However I do think they take it and hide it for later and they take then run a little way up the bank.. Or maybe to their den thats not far from where I live as the cubs always stay close so I am told.

All files in all formats and dont forget to check out my new FOX cub kits https://www.craftsuprint.com/tina-fitch/

So it begins.... by Vicki Avcin

The joys of packing a whole house up and 2 sheds worth of stuff is a bit overwhelming. After 14 years in this beautiful piece of paradise we have sold our property and moving. Our hearts are torn at leaving but excitement for what the future will be. We are moving to a smaller property closer to family. Weve missed so many milestones with the kids and grandkids and havent been able to be closer to support them with so many things and looking after 10 acres is going to be harder as we both grow older. So smaller block close to family seemed like the way to go. There is a big problem with housing here as property goes on the market one day and within 24 hrs it is already under contract in most cases $40 or $50 over the asking price so getting a place has been a challenge. But finally we have found a place and look forward to new adventures. Rather than leaving it till the last week to pack Im well on top of it and organised.

This week my featured items are two pretty Christmas designs. One in a traditional blue theme and the other a pretty Australian floral.

Tawny Frogmouth Owl

by Amanda Assenbruck

We have these interesting owls where we live and i love photographing them. This one i captured on film the other day,a pair of them were roosting above my chook pen and were woken up by a bit of a ruckus. He politely asked us to keep it down, thus alerting me to his presence. I said i was very sorry and he ended up with a mouse breakfast (from the trap in the chook pen).

Mini Mouse by Janice McFarlane

Ive shared many times before about my other passion other than designing and that is crochet. I recently did a craft fair and am now working my way towards a Christmas one. A post came up on a craft group I belong to of a cute crochet mouse pattern. I was asked if I could possibly make one, so I headed off to get the pattern. As I am currently away at my daughters for a month, I packed a number of crochet patterns all Christmas themed as well as this little mouse. So my trial one is now done with some modifications. The little mouse sits neatly in the palm of my hand and has posable limbs. I needle felted his tail and inner ears and made his nose from air dry clay. I may decide to give future ones I make, clay feet for a bit more realism.

Design Studio by Judith Henry

My work room is small. It is actually in a walk in closet but holds everything I need. This past two weeks we have the addition of our sons cat visiting with us. She figured out how to open my craft bedroom door so I had to clean up the space so she could lay down on the bed. When the cutting machine or printer starts making noise she runs quickly out of the room. Its so fun to have a furry pet back in the house.

Beach Toy Library by Sue Way

A great scheme has been launched on our local beach this week, Its called the Beach Toy Library and it was started by an eco-friendly shop in our town. The owners launched the beach toy library in a bid to stop plastic from being left on the beach. The community scheme is to reduce the number of beach toys being thrown away or just discarded on the beach at the end of the day. Beachgoers can place their used beach toys and inflatables in one of the bespoke boxes where they can then be borrowed, played with and returned time and time again. There are several boxes located along the seafront and will be checked and maintained by volunteers. What a fabulous idea!
