Ramp it Up! by Janice McFarlane

My grandsoon Alfie is a very sporty and outdoors person, and is a member of various clubs on the RAF camp where he live. He goes to Youth Club, Cubs, Football club and he has his Ice Hockey training. So when he asked his mum if he could join the new skateboarding club on camp, it was a thumbs up. At least he wont want to spend all of the summer holidays on the playstation. He already had the gear, but had never really had a go properly, so off he went. When he came back home again he was over the moon, he loved it and couldnt wait to go back. Then my daughter saw a picture which had been taken to promote the new club, which she found funny. Alfie was certainly the odd one out as the rest of the members were all military personel; five of them and there was Alfie posing with them. It was lovely that they were willing to teach him and hopefully other children will also join during the summer.

Blast from the past! by Sue Way

In the seventies when I was a young, carefree teen, I was also a bit of a hippy. There was a shop my sister and I used to go to to buy patchouli oil, joss sticks, bangles and beads. They sold a few tye-dye pieces of clothing too. The whole shop smelt of musk and patchouli. I loved that smell. Last week, my sister sent me this picture. She was shopping in that town and walked past a very familiar shop, she said it was like going back in time. We cant believe its still there after all these years! I asked her if it still smelt the same, but unfortunately, she didnt have time to go in but said she will next time she is there. Happy memories. My SALE is on at the moment, so grab a bargain with 20% off my whole store! https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/

10 New Members joining every day. Why not pop over and say Hello

Look .... by Carol Clarke

... Nana .. Im a sloth!! lol We had a lovely day with out youngest two grandchildren and took them to a local park. Olivia decided she wanted to be a sloth and hang around in the sunshine! lol It was far too hot for us all though and we soon made a hasty retreat to the shade of our back garden where we able to chill out and do some crafting! Whilst we were having a relaxed Sunday their Daddy, our youngest son, was competing in the 3000m at the Sheffield Grand Prix athletics meeting .... which he won! Typically for him though he was disappointed with his winning time of 8:56.59 though! Wed have been happy to have done it in an hour with the scorching temperatures! lol

Gertrude wears Christmas in July nail

covers by Judith Henry

After traveling and camping in a trailer for seven months my son has returned home with many stories. Gertrude is enjoying our big house and all the places to hide. She is sporting the latest trend in cat claw covers in honor of Christmas in July. Wish the temperature would drop so we could be outside more.
