Pikes Peak State Park by Judith Henry

Our first trip since COVID was to Pikes Peak State Park, located right on the Iowa/Wisconsin border. It is well maintained and has a beautiful multi-level overlook of the Mississippi River Valley and across the river, Prairie du Chien. This picture is from the bluff overlooking the confluence of the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers. The park is well maintained hiking trails and includes many effigy mounds in park.

Fox Dog by Tina Fitch

Heres the father of the Cubs. The fox dog is resting at the too if the bank just behind my back garden fence. I caught him there watching out for the three Cubs he fathered watching them hunt well they dont hunt really they come daily for their snack haha.He is so beautiful and his eyes are mesmerising I just cant stop looking at him! He comes daily with the Cubs and just watches however today one little one got scared and dropped her snack so dad came took it for her and dropped it near by so she could take it and eat it.They have now got used to the undergrowth being cut which leaves them on show really which I presume they are not sure of. Anyway they continue to come 3 times a day now and they are getting so bigIll update on Cubs next week Thanks for your continued support

Good weather for ducks! by Amanda Assenbruck

Our wet weather continues here. The dam is full, the pond is full and all the water tanks are full which is good. The subsoil is wet so every drop we get now runs off so even the 23 mm we had today made a torrent of our driveway and our bottom road has been underwater now for a week. The council had only just been and fixed it from the big lot of rain we had earlier in the year. Dont get me wrong, Im not complaining! It means our underwater aquifers are full again which is good for the farmers who need it. We have had a few frosts but overall it is still not too wintery but is getting cold next week, just in time for our Jumpers and Jazz festival where we dress up all the cold trees who have lost their leaves. My cards today are two of my new ones. Hope you like them!

Love these Guys by Vicki Avcin

I never get tired of having the skippys in the yard. They come right up to the house day and night and sometimes they are just grazing and lying around and other times its like the fight club around here. These boys were resting up after a big night the night before. The two smaller ones were one pair and the two bigger ones were the other pair. Smaller ones were over to the left of the yard doing their boxing routine and the big boys were over the other side of the year doing theirs. They use the whole front yard to box and often its nothing to hear a bang on the walls where one has been bailed up. So used to it now that we know what it is but a few years ago we couldnt work out what it was till we saw it happen one day. In the meantime the mummas and their joeys were hanging round the back yard having a feed. They are such regulars now that we tend to worry a bit when we dont see them for a few days. We know they are right down the back in the bush but often we wont see them, usually after rain when there is plenty of grass down the back for them to eat without having to go a little further afield. This photo was taken from my kitchen window.

Today my items are two sets of Christmas card inserts. One silver and gold and the other with pretty colour inserts.

A ... by Carol Clarke

Beautiful Common Blue Butterfly was our lovely companion when we went for a stroll in our local Country Park. The Common Blue isnt as common as the name implies but we have seen a few this year so fay and they always make us smile as they are sooo lovely to see. The Blue really shines out in the sunshine and I was lucky enough to find this one basking in the sunshine long enough for me to take a photo! lol Below are two of my Carousel Scene Card Kit designs ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Creating a Creative Space by Aibhne Paton

When my kids and I moved just over 3 years ago I made a promise that wed have space for playing and being creative, but due to chronic pain & fatigue, it has taken me longer than I thought it would. On Saturday I finally achieved my goal of creating space in a communal area for arts & crafts. Im ecstatic and really proud of myself.I wish I couldve gotten better photographs, but its a small room and the natural light has been quite dull & gloomy over the last few days. However, there is space for my desk, A3 printer/scanner, Cricut, Badge maker and their respective bits & bobs. My only problem now is figuring out what to make first.

The Graduate by Janice McFarlane

No sooner have the children gone back to school after a turbulent 18 months or so, the summer holidays is now upon them. So, end of the school year festivities are in place for those at school and nursery. The nursery where my 4 year old grandson Harry has been attending, had a lovely graduation ceremony for those who are leaving to take the next very large step up to reception class. The children were loaned little gowns and mortar caps for the occasion and presented with a leavers certificate and a little goodie bag including a photo with them in their graduation outfit. Unfortunately due to the school and nurserys very strict restrictions because of covid, parents werent able to attend. So one chapter has closed and another one is about to begin.

Bath time! by Sue Way

I have never really been a wallow in the bath type of person, preferring a quick shower. But after a busy morning at work, then a workout in the evening, including walking Billy, I have been treating myself to a relaxing bath before bed. I never usually add anything to my bath, but my daughter bought me my first bath bomb for mothers day and I loved it, so put my order into hubs for some from the same place for my birthday. I am now hooked on bath bombs lol and I have just taken delivery of my next batch. My favourite so far is called Mermaids Delight, it smells lovely and leaves my skin feeling really soft. Oooo writing this is making me want another bath lol
