We have been doing big cleanouts/tidyups in the house and packing a fair bit of stuff away with the eventual intention of selling and moving (yes! Why the house gets painted now after all this time) and as I hadnt made up any cards for a while, I decided to get into the back room, my craft room, and sort that out. All the tools, ribbons, glues, etc are in plastic boxes in the cupboard now but for some brilliant reason, I decided to pack all my card stock, coloured card etc in boxes and only left out white paper and 120 and 200 gsm white card stock out. So murphys law kicked in and I needed to make two very special cards and only had white card to use. First was a card for my daughter to celebrate her 10 years since graduating with the police force. Shes also just been appointed her Detective position also so incorporated the gold into the card. Detectives get a gold badge. Then sadly my son and his family had to send their beloved Milo over the Rainbow Bridge so wanted to send them a card for that. So it was use what I had and hope they turned out OK. What do you think?

Buttercup Billy by Sue Way

There is something so beautiful about a Golden Retriever sitting in a field of buttercups. So I have decided to make this an annual thing, to take a picture of Billy doing just that. Luckily as well as having the beach on our doorstep, we also have this lovely area close by where he can run and roll and pose for the camera ;)

... Beautiful array of pretty yellows! We have had a lot of pretty wildflowers suddenly bursting into bloom along the highways, byways, paths and tracks that we like to walk along. The tide of Cowslips are particularly lovely this year. In fact I cant remember seeing quite so many as we are seeing this year for many a long year! Even the humble buttercups and even dandelions are putting on a lovely showing too! lol Below are two of my Shaped No-Hole Fold Back Christmas Card Mini Kits ... There are lots more to choose from too! lol

Buzz Off to Queen Bee-trice by Janice McFarlane

Hopefully with lockdown easing craft fairs will go ahead. Im already booked for one in July locally. I have plently of crafty items to sel,l as my relaxation after a day of designing is crochet and sometimes needle felting. Gnomes are very popular, you only really used to see them around the festive period, but now they are everywhere for all occasions. Ive done quite a few up until now from Minnie and MIckey Mouse Gnomes, Ladybird Gnome and these two are my favourite at the moment. Ive named them Queen Bee-trice and Buzz Off. I really enjoyed making these and adding my own quirky touch of flying bees. All my Gnomes get mounted on a log slice. I do them for fun then sell them. Hopefully doing the craft fair will then give me more space in my small bungalow for some more creations.

Stagecoach Ride, Deadwood, South Dakota by Sandie Burchell

We visited Deadwood, South Dakota on our recent vacation.My photograph shows the stagecoach in Deadwood, South Dakota, which was the primary mode of travel in areas that had little or no rail transportation. The stagecoach was used extensively to carry mail, gold, and people from 1876 until the arrival of the railroad in December 1890. It now does tours for visitors around Deadwood with an interesting historical commentary.
