The Conservatory at the Bellagio Hotel,

Las Vegas by Sandie Burchell

I went to Las Vegas for a couple of nights a couple of weeks ago and visited The Conservatory at The Bellagio. We live about 13 miles from Las Vegas but still find it exciting to go up there for a couple of nights now and then. It really makes a nice change. On the first day we walked 8 miles and on the second day 11.5 miles just on the Strip so good exercise too!We went to the latest exhibition called the Spring Celebrations Around the World at The Conservatory in The Bellagio Hotel and as usual, it didnt disappoint! My photograph shows part of the exhibition of giant flowers made from hundreds of individual roses. The exhibition showcases spring from all corners of the world which featured The Chelsea Flower Show, The Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival, the Tulip Festival in Holland and Songkran, The Water Festival in Thailand, The story of each festival is told through flowers.

The two designs I am featuring this week are my new Christmas Room Shaped Card Mini Kits. I have done 5 so far so please take a look at the others too, they are linked! Here are 2 of them, all are on special offer currently. Thank you for looking!. x

Sleeping on the job by Janice McFarlane

My grandson Harry, is quite a character in many ways, soon to be 4 at the end of the month, although his key worker at nursery describes him as soon to be 4 going on 14 - her toddler teenager. But even toddler teenagers get very tired after a hard day playing. Whilst sitting down at the end of the day to have their family meal Harry fell fast asleep in the middle of eating. Nothing unusual there I suppose, but what amused my daughter and son in law was after a few minutes, Harry, whilst still asleep reached out to pick up his food while still asleep and proceeded to eat his meal. Goodness knows what he may have been dreaming about, or maybe he thought he needed the energy whilst sleeping. It gives a whole new meaning to sleeping on the job.

Star of David by Judith Henry

We have mystery perennials. This sweet little white flower is called the star if David. Now I sometime wonder if it is true. The flowers close up at night and will bloom fo several days. It propagates from bulbs. This makes it easy to transfer and multiply around the garden. Sometimes we dont actually know this has happened. Once they bloom the flow dies back.

Painting by Vicki Avcin

We have spent the last few weeks replacing boards and washing down the house so that finally we can repaint the place. After 14 years we are getting round to do it as when we brought the place one of the first things I wanted was to repaint the place as I hate green and I said I wasnt living in Kermit cottage. Well life happened and it kept getting put off but it is all go now to get it done. However sometimes things never go according to plan. Off we went and got the paint as weve had some lovely weather, not too hot, not too cold, no wind and sunny days (no rain) and then what happens, the wind and patchy showers. So now it gets put off yet again. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will get back to calm sunny weather and it will get done. Cant wait to get started and then finished to see how it will look.

Double Rainbow! by Sue Way

I think all of you in the UK will agree that the weather has been awful the last few weeks. One minute sunshine, the next heavy rain. I really want to get on with my garden but keep having to rush back inside lol The one good thing about it is all the lovely rainbows we are seeing. I managed to snap this lovely double rainbow before the heavens opened again. I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Thank you for continuing to support us. https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/

Fallen Tree by Tina Fitch

Well its been over a year now since the tree outside my home fell in the wind As you can see the cones are still in place and now the what was tree is growing up through the cones. In the middle of the cones is a big hole thats why they left the cones so no one would fall down it but its still in need of sorting. So this week I got onto highways to come and finish the job. Im now awaiting them to come and remove the bits of tree left and fill the hole . I wonder how much longer it will be like that?
