Firefighting Coin by Vicki Avcin

The Royal Australian Mint released a commemorative $2 coin in October 2020, twelve months after the devastating fires that swept throughout Australia in the 2019/2020 h season to honour our firefighters. I have wanted one of these coins but never found one in change from the limited number of coins released. Using a strong and semi symmetrical design aesthetics, the coin highlights the hero statues that firefighters hold in the community. The new coin design includes stylised representation of two firefighters standing back to back, with a coloured fire ball in the centre of the coin. The identity of the two firefighters is hidden but the figure on the right is shown as masculine and the figure on the left as feminine as a symbol of the diversity within Australias firefighting ranks. Our neighbour buys uncirculated coin rolls and sells these coins individually and when hubby commented that we hadnt yet found one, he kindly gave me one. Yipee, so happy to finally have one.

First design this week is a gorgeous giftcard design which is perfect for a wedding and the second is a pretty round design suitable as a round card or the main design as a topper for a conventional card.

Nose Art by Tina Fitch

Well this little baby has just come back from a war zone, and whilst they are out there I presume they get bored LOL because they mostly all come back with Nose art on the front of the jet..I am not sure what this one is supposed to be Looks like a skeleton head on a body but not sure what body is green hahahah..I suppose it gives them something to do whilst they are busy protecting us and others.. Its always lovely to catch them on way home as they have this which is not seen very often, As soon as they get back to base they remove it from view or paint over it..I have quite a few F15s now with this paint art on their noses now... Oh well back to work.. New designs now in the store for Fathers Day which will soon be upon us..Not looking forward to this year it will be first one without my Dad... God Bless him..Special Thanks to Sarah and Lorraine in HQ for their help! Thanks Girls x

10 New Members joining every day. Why not pop over and say Hello

Well .... by Carol Clarke

..... The Bluebells are out ..... and looking sooo good! We managed to go and see the bluebells in the nearby woods this week, and we even got some lovely sunshine on the day we went too! In just about every direction we looked up and down the footpaths we saw carpets of beautiful blue nodding bells! It really was a fabulous sight! Below are two of my popular On the Shelf Everlasting Calendar Kits

You shall have a fishy ...

by Janice McFarlane

On a little dishy. A regular thing we do every Wednesday evening in our household is have a fish and chip supper. Its something I look forward to as its a treat. We are known with the staff at our local chippy and they always had great measures in place during lockdown and still do. Our cat Bailey over the months see,s to know when it is Wednesday, and as we nip out he poises himself as if to say, well hurry up then. Why? Because he also shares in the huge fish we get, the staff at the chippy are aware of what has become our weekly routine and often slip a bit extra to us. He is always waiting for us when we get back and watches carefully as the food is unwrapped. Not only that he has his own little dish. He wont eat it from his own bowl, he likes to have a dish on the tray next to mine. I take the batter off before putting the fish in his bowl and he sits patiently next to me whilst I do this. It is ever so comical, but he loves it.

Beach! by Sue Way

We are so lucky to live a two minute walk from the beach. It can be a bit windy sometimes and gets busy on sunny days. We try to go early in the morning and there is nothing better than having the whole beach to yourselves. Billy absolutely loves it, he isnt much of a swimmer, but likes to have a splash in the sea to cool down.
