Race at Your Pace by Janice McFarlane

Well Mondays nearly here, I dont know who will be more please, the children or the parents. I think the children will be glad just to get out of the house and see their friends, and the parents wont have to scratch their heads trying to work out what a fronted adverbial is. My grandson Alfie apart from his school work, Ice Hockey workouts via zoom has also joined his mum running. My daughter does half marathons etc., and various other runs for charity, but also she has been doing them to keep fit, Alfie decided to join her. He doesnt do the distances that my daughter does, but she goes out with him too. He can run about 5K on a good day, considering he is only 8 I think thats pretty good. There are various organisations online you can register with to run a certain amount within an allotted timeframe, like a month to build up your distance. Alfie has done his first 15K with Race at Your Pace and achieved his first medal. Its been a brilliant way for him to keep fit for his Ice Hockey as there has been no proper training on the ice. Very proud of him.

Special Delivery! by Sue Way

We had a special delivery on the doorstep this week from our 9year old granddaughter Imogen. It was Herman the German friendship cake that she has been feeding and stirring for 9 days. On the 9th day you have to give 3 friends some of the mixture to keep it going. On the 10th day you add more ingredients to make a delicious Apple and walnut cake. We are on day 6 and watching him grow! I cant wait to taste it. I used to make these many years ago when my children were small and I would make a different type of cake every time to keep it interesting. I wonder if this is some of that original mixture lol I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Thank you for continuing to support us. https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/

Circus in our yard. by Vicki Avcin

Just recently Circus Rio was in Hervey Bay for 2 weeks. Friends of ours are the transport managers for it and transported all the trucks and advertising trailers and caravans up here. After the circus was finished, they only had limited time to remove everything or the Council was going to charge extra fees for each day there was something on the block. We were asked if they could bring vehicles out and park up on our property as we have 10 acres, so that they could come and collect them over a period of 5 days. So our front yard became a parking lot for a few days. Photos are of some of the vehicles. We had free tickets for the show for allowing them to park up. Circus Rio is a non animal circus and is brilliant, like a mini Cirque de Solis.

This week is another two of my Easter designs.

When will Spring Come. by Judith Henry

March came in like a lamb. Its so good to see the sun shine and the temperatures returning to above freezing. This is not a current picture but one taken several years ago. We were in Savanah, Georgia USA when the crab apple trees were in bloom. How pretty! Lovely walks on historic trails, museums to enjoy, street markets and warm weather. We will soon be back to enjoying the great adventure. Enjoy your week.

Spring by Tina Fitch

You just know when spring is on its way, Caught this superb shot yesterday in my garden,He was just sitting on my garden fence with moss for his nest..Both him and his female was back and forth nearly all morning.. They had started their nest just the other side of my fence but unfortunately I am not sure whether it will be ok due to it being in my neighbors garden in all the junk they they have disguarded..I do hope they wont get disturbed as once you disturb they leave the nest and if any babies they will die..I will have to keep eye out as it is only the other side of my fence,,
