Brrrrr ..... by Carol Clarke

..... another very cold and frosty walk!! We have had a bit more snow this week and took the opportunity to go for a gentle stroll around the local country park. It looked lovely in the wintery sunshine but it was sooooo bitterly cold!!! We were glad wed had the chance to have a little fresh air and exercise but we were even happier to get home in the warm and grab a warming hot chocolate! lol!

P Plates Achieved! by Vicki Avcin

Our granddaughter Chloe turned 17 in January which meant she could go for her driving licence…. known here as getting her Ps, so off she went on the 25th of January to do her test. We have driven with her and had no doubt she would get her licence, but sometimes under pressure things happen and you sneak that tiny bit over the speed limit, or you forget to do something and miss the first attempt. But not our girl……. Going in manual car, she blitzed it first time. Most of the young people here go for their automatic licence (which means they cannot/not allowed) to drive a manual vehicle of any kind. I combined her Birthday and congratulations into one card and we got her a silver heart with a diamante keyring with the word Family on it. We also did the same for the other granddaughter last year. The significance is that each time they get in their car and see the keyring they remember that they have a family that loves them and to drive safely and come home to their family. Chloes little brother is quite chuffed too, now that he has a big sister that can drive him to school rather than Mum or Dad doing it.

My designs today are beautiful Mothers Day designs from my DL collection.

Diva! by Tina Fitch

My head! Wrap with mesh and decorate to make it look like a Divas head for your front doorI couldnt resist trying the new wreath form I designed I added a circular shape with room to tie the mesh too. Im sure shell look just fine once Ive finished it. First I need to paint it and add eyes and lip colour them comes the tied mesh and something like a small scarf around the hairline.. Ive seen quite a few made and I personally think they look stunning. See how it turned out next week

Time to get colouring! by Sue Way

I like to enter online competitions. I have only had a few small wins so far, but I enjoy getting a freebie through the post. In the run up to Christmas, there were so many to enter, it was almost a full-time job lol I was lucky enough to win a prize from a graphics and arts retailer, but with the new lockdown restrictions, they were running at a skeleton staff and couldnt meet their orders as quickly as usual. I started to think my prize probably wouldnt be sent. So it was a lovely surprise to come home from work today and find that the postman had delivered it! A big box containing 40 felt pens and 50 coloured pencils. I cant wait to have a play with them. I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Thank you for continuing to support us. https://www.craftsuprint.com/sue-way/

Sleeping! by Tina Fitch

Its been absolutely freezing here with the snow this week, but when the sun came out and melted a little bit the fox came to sunbath and sleep. This is just over the fence at bottom of my garden they have their den just to the right of the photo..He/She layered there and slept for a good hour before getting scared and woken up... The sun just shines on that little piece of ground under the large oak trees that hang over the garden... So when it shines they have to sit or sleep.. I suppose its better to be out in the fresh air than to be under ground cold! Not long now till they will be babies so looking forward to seeing the, come out to play!Stay Safe everyone x

Off His Trolley! by Janice McFarlane

For all the numerous crafts I do storage is of the essence, particularly as I live in a one bedroom retirement bungalow. The living and kitchen are combined and I have a small desk, in part of that area. So I bought a trolley which would provide access to necessities from either my desk area or if I was sitting on the sofa. Ideal I thought, it has three tiers and little hook on pots. The top tier was to be for general things and easy access. For instance if I was crocheting I could have my Yarn etc on there on an evening. This is what was in my head, but that soon went out of the window when my cat Bailey took a shining to it. At first I thought it was new to him so he was curious, but then he will forget about it. Well I ate my words, several months have now gone by and I dont have access to the top tier at all, as Bailey likes to sleep in it. Now if I bought him a cat bed ( and he has had them) he wouldnt want to know, but for some reason he has stuck with the top tier of the trolley and Im not getting it back any time soon. So the only thing I have managed to put in the trolley is a soft blanket so that he can be more comfy on. He has me well and truly trained!

Our Foxy Friend is Back.... by Clare Walker

Just look at our foxy friend...He`s back, and, unbelievably, snoozed like this on a cold shed roof from around noon until at least dusk the other day. We suspect that this is because of all the foxy mating that`s going on at night around here at the moment... (mostly in the form of blood-curdling shriek-barks at 2 am... :-) ). But it`s all good, and just think how wonderful might it be to see tiny fox cubs in a few months time? Watch this space...

RENT A DOG by Wanda Lipski

Since my Cavalier King Charles died peacefully in my arms just over a year ago, I have been dogless as my husband wasnt willing to even consider the idea of another dog. Nobody seems to be breeding what with blo**** covid, so Ive been renting this little pooch. Her mistress at 87 and still a concert standard pianist and her dog is called Sonatine to continue her tradition of musically named dogs ... Mazurka, Scherzo etc. However she is a lousy dog owner as shes obviously too old to take the dog for walks although Sonatine does have a huge garden to run in and her mistress just shouts at her. Consequently the dog is totally untrained. I have taught her to sit and take her for muddy walks WITHOUT her little coat and scarf!!! She thanks me by making a huge fuss of me as she looks longingly at my transport for taking her to the lake where she goes crazy and by licking my nose with her tiny pink tongue. A couple of quickies for the lads today, but Ive been busy recently so please have a look at my latest designs on my web page and ENJOY!
