Family Christmas card

by MORAG HAMILTON

We have recently suffered a family bereavement and not knowing what kind of Christmas card to send, I seen this one and felt it is more appropriate. I felt it was not just a Christmas card but it also has a good balance for this time as we still need to remember it is still a special time of year for all the family.

My friends Christmas card.

by MORAG HAMILTON

My friend is also a work colleague. He loves Christmas and cant wait to get the tree up. He is first to get the tree up and decorated. He also has an amazing sense of humour, so when I seen this card I thought it was perfect for him. Also it helps with how we are coping with the current issues that we are all struggling with. I hope that this will cheer him up as we get to celebrate Christmas.

A New Year. by Helen Gomm

This year has been a difficult year for us all , thank goodness for our love of crafting ,we can spend meany hours with our hobby to take us away from times at the moment ,at least a light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccine. looking forward to seeing family on zoom to join in a Christmas quiz with them and watch them open presents, also have my love of photography been ,some lovely sunsets and autumn colours . wishing you the best Christmas and New Year you can have possible. x

Family Visit by Vicki Avcin

My son and his family came to visit last weekend….. an early Christmas present. They couldnt leave till Chloe finished work at 11am so didnt get up here till around 3.30pm. After many hugs, exchanging Christmas gifts and catching up on everything we headed down to the foreshore to a place called Enzos for dinner. Lovely night with great food and a cool sea breeze which was very welcome after a very hot day. After dinner a walk along the beach (esplanade is lit which shines onto the beach) and a swing in the playground then we drove round looking at Christmas Lights. The property next to us had them enthralled as they have nearly 2 acres all lit up and handmade emus and reindeer as part of the display. The Santa up a tree with a dog chasing him really gave them a giggle. The neighbours were the winners Overall and the Peoples Choice award in our local Community Assoc Christmas Lights Competition. Then home to bed as sadly the family had to leave around 8am so they could be back home for Chloe to start work at 2pm on the Sunday.

Merry .... by Carol Clarke

..... Merry Christmas!! Its that time of the year when the rather robust, rotund red man attempts to descend the chimney again! lol This year will be different though as Im sure he will have been told to wear a face covering and keep his distance! lol With all that has been going on in the world this year I think weve all decided that even if we cant see our loved ones in person this year we can at least go to town on Christmas decorations and its really lovely to see all these fabulous decorations round about in our village. Heres to a Good Christmas for all and the hope that next year will be significantly better!

Christmas card for the boss.

by MORAG HAMILTON

I felt that I would like a really nice card for my boss and her family. I feel this is fitting the bill very nicely. It looks like the way to celebrate the special time with her family. This is a very nice card and easy to achieve, to complete this one for me it was simple and quite quick as well. I would recommend this to anyone.

Out of the mouth of Babes

by Janice McFarlane

Well here we are at Christmas, a very different one with more stricter rules. We have to make the best of what we can given the circumstances. Each year my daughter and family have visited Blenheim Palace as they usually have a themed event and decorate the palace in that theme along with a spectacular light show in the grounds. Last year it was Alice in Wonderland, but due to covid restrictions they havent been able to do that. However, they still had the lights in the grounds which my family went to. Everything was well planned with marshalls along the way ensuring everyone kept at a good social distance as they walked around the grounds. Alfie and Harry loved it. Enroute there was a socially distanced visit to Santa, who Harry my youngest grandson spotted from a distance and was yelling at the top of his voice. Once there, my son in law had been talking to the children and called them by name, which Santa overheard so he said Hello Harry and Alfie which the children were thrilled with. Then Alfie who is 8, has been very savvy during lockdown asked Santa if he had had the covid vaccination, to which Santa replied yes, I was one of the first to have it because of my age. Not content with that answer, Alfie then said to him, but arent you breaking the law by being here, shouldnt you be in quarantine? I guess Alfie thought Santa should be in quarantine before Christmas Eve. I dont think Santa quite expected the interrogation with regards to Covid rules from one so young. Perhaps Boris Johnson needs to employ Alfie to keep everyone in line.
