Lots .... by Carol Clarke

... Of Fun!! Just before our youngest grandchildren went back to school we were lucky enough to have a lovely day with them. Wed spent the morning playing and having a picnic at the park and returned to our house for ice creams and games!! Id spent some time over the holiday turning an old cardboard box and some stones into a giant board game. The grandchildren helped us name the game and called it The (Ice) Screamery! The older ones among you (like me!) might know it better as Ludo! lol Below are 2 of my Halloween On the Shelf Cards .... that just might make you Scream too! lol

Jan-Tangling by Janice McFarlane

Apart from needle felting, my other new hobby for relaxation is the art of zentangle, although not in the traditional sense. Its been around for a while now, but I was never really interested in it, until I saw the work and products of Sandra Rushton, who is a certified zentangle teacher, but has put her own twist on it by using, stencils, as well as free form to create beautiful art pieces, either in the traditional black and white, or the former with some colour added. I liked her style very much so decided to give it a go. Whilst I do like the monochrome pieces, I much prefer full colour which can be pretty time consuming, but I have enjoyed the challenge and pleased with the results so far. I use a mixture of alcohol markers, and prisma-colour pencils and pigma pens. I also like to add some lacey effects and like to include animals and nature in there also. So my style I have named Jan-Tangling.

Lytham Windmill by Carol Dunne

In these days of covid lockdowns we managed to get out for a walk along the sea front at Lytham St Annes. The historic windmill looked beautiful against the blue sky. It was built in 1805 using parts from much older windmills and was popular with the local farmers for grinding their wheat and oats into flour. Unfortunately there was a fire in 1919 and it was badly damaged but it was restored again in 1921 although it was used for other things like a cafe, a boat club etc. and is now used as a museum.

Here are two of may latest pop-up cube designs. They can be made as 3 or 5 cub pop-ups and fold flat for posting. Instructions included in the kit.

IDEA FOR ALL YOU CRAFTERS. by Wanda Lipski

Today we had guests for lunch and I received this box of chocolates as is the custom. It was so original I felt that I just had to share the idea with all you clever crafters who are maybe beginning to think about you are going to wrap all those christmas presents. Actually I think the packaging is an overweight ladies dream ... how can I possible undo the packaging to get at the goodies inside? I think this is THE definition of eye candy ... very gentle on the hips. Over in the UK you have so many new restrictions of social gatherings I hope youre all staying safe and crafting like mad. Thanks to you all who gave me a really great August in terms of sales and I hope you enjoy some of my latest calendars. Please note that updates for all my previous calendars are available so that you can reuse my designs.

Praying for the sun to return by deborah davies

Working from home has given us all the opportunity to get around to those little jobs we keep putting off and a chance to update things that need a little refreshing. I thought about my garden and how I could make it more inviting and want to sit out and enjoy the fresh air and sunny weather, should we get some more.... I sit here praying for the sun to return lol. With that in mind I got out the pressure washer and cleaned the patio and invested in some patio furniture and a few bits. Need to get the paint out next....... Please see my little chill out area in photo.

Dendrobium speciosum by Vicki Avcin

Also known as a King Orchid, once again this year my orchid has given me one gorgeous flower. Bit sad that it only produced one this year as last few years it has produced 3 or 4 at a time and looks splendid when there is a few out together. It has many little flowers off one main long spike and really excites me each year waiting for it to bloom. Quite easy to grow, mine grows off an old palm tree that is now dead but the orchid has flourished. They get the morning sun but from around 1 or 2pm are in shade, which apparently is ideal growing conditions for them. Me being the lazy gardener I am, I dont do anything to it. It gets watered when it rains and gets no special treatment

My Sticks! by Sue Way

Hubby had been busy building his new greenhouse. Today he was painting it, so he laid all the spare pieces of wood outside so he had room to move about inside. Billy decided that he needed to look after the wood. He was either making his own pile with the little bits or laying with the big pile. He is so funny! I have some exciting news! Some of my Christmas designs have been chosen to feature on the Craftsuprints show on Create and Craft TV!!!!!! It will air on Friday the 11th of September (today) at 1.30 pm UK time and is presented by the lovely Carly Duff. Please tune in and support us! Here is how to watch Create and Craft TV from the UK - Sky 683, Freeview 95, Virgin 748, Apple TV, Amazon Fire. Here is how to watch Create and Craft TV from the USA - DirectTV 85 and 222, Dish Network 221 & Roku. Or online here: https://www.createandcraft.com/gb/show?icn=tv_new&ici=watch_live_new

Deployment by Tina Fitch

Deployment this week at RAF Lakenheath. Visitors from Aviano Base in ItalySo we had the 510th Squadron of F16 Buzzards and Triple NickelsFull on excersize with quite a few bases in the U.K. They started late yesterday I actually got to the base for 7.15 and living an hour away made it an early get up time But I didnt really mind its a pleasure when the weather is good and considering we were locked away for 3 months this year its just nice to get out. We sat for 4 hours before they started to launch but once they did they didnt stop till well into the late evening. They lit the evening skies lovely with the sun just catching the silver paintwork of the jetsThis week you have F16 fighting falcon photo Thanks for your continued support in purchasing my designs.
