Our Riley by Deborah Davies

After waiting what seemed like an age for the right dog for our family. We passed all the checks were found suitable. On Sunday they brought him home to us. He is the cutest and such a lovable little scamp. The giant child and I are delighted with him, my Son is convinced he is a reincarnation of our late dog Heidi, Riley has a lot of her mannerisms, it is joy to watch him and he seems happy with us too..

Aunt and Uncle by Vicki Avcin

I found two photos of my aunt and uncle that were like second parents to me while sorting out some photos a few months ago. Taken back in the war days they were showing signs of age. One of my favourite past times is restoring old photos and photo manipulation (ie taking someone out or putting a person into a photo) so after removing some marks and scratches on these old photos I then coloured them. Sadly both are no longer with us so its lovely to have some great photos of them both, taken in their younger days during the war. I did a lot of photos for people after Hurricane Katrina in the US a few years ago. People scanned photos and sent them over the internet, Id restore them and email them back to them. There was a group of about 20 people who restored thousands of treasured memories for people. I also did a lot of photos after Tropical Cyclone Larry here in Queensland too. Some people wanted them colourised, others preferred the black and white or old sepia photos to stay original. Ive removed people from photos that people no longer wanted in their lives but the photo was a good photo that they wanted to keep. Its a wonderful reward when people have new old photos that otherwise werent in great condition and they thought theyd lost

My designs today are both pretty Australian Christmas Floral designs.

Surviving during pandemic by Judith Henry

We have been enjoying a meal service 3 days a week since April. This is fresh ingredient including everything we need to make 2 servings. Meat, vegetables and a starch serving. We particularly enjoy the Mediterranean recipes with different spices. Sometimes hot but delicious. I guess you could say we are taking a cuisine trip instead of a cruse.

Having ... by Carol Clarke

Fun in the Sun!! As we are in a bubble with our youngest son and family we can now meet regularly and luckily the sun shone for our moist recent adventure together. First we went to a local park for a picnic and play and ice creams ... of course! lol Then we came back to our house to play. Id made them a giant snakes and ladders game and we took it out onto the terrace to play .... Ohhh what fun we had! Ive managed to get hold of some more thick card so my next project will be a giant Ludo board! lol Below are two of my newest designs ... Watch out for more ... Coming Soon!!

Making a Mask of Things by Janice McFarlane

Well we are certainly living in strange times at the moment. From one week to the next things change and to be honest it does get somewhat confusing as to what we can and cannot do, or who we can see in our bubble. Now it is mandatory to wear face masks. Who would have thought it? Face masks are now the new normal, and what a variety there is out there, its become a fashion statement and people are have little cottage industries going making them to sell. My daughter found some fabric at home which I had given her. Why, I have no idea as she cant sew to save her life, not even a button on a shirt. However, her husband Paul can. Dont get me wrong hes not a candidate for the next Great British Sewing Bee, but any buttons to be sewn or things to mend he does it. So he thought he would have a go at making some face masks. They do have a sewing machine and he had a go and I must say he has done a great job on his first attempt. Perhaps when he has done his time in the RAF this big strapping Ice Hockey playing Corporal has found his true vocation.

Yum! by Sue Way

Although I am now back at work, hubby has been home a lot more. So he is getting very domesticated lol I come home to the washing on the line (although I still have to work the washing machine) The vacuuming is done and floors washed. He even walks the dog before I have even left for work! He quite often cooks dinner too but has a very small repertoire. Well, the other day he got more adventurous in the kitchen and made Halloumi veg kebabs on a bed of rice & stir fry veg. It was absolutely delicious and I have already put my order in for a repeat performance!
